[Private] Balto II: Redemption

Balto sighed. "Do you think you could talk to her a bit or something? I hate seeing her like this. Perhaps a talk from you will get her mind off of this," he said.

Kalu let out a chuckle "Sure I wouldn't mind." he walked into the kitchen and stopped seeing Aleu he couldn't move seeing her light brown fur he shook his head throwing the emotion away hating it. He took a few more steps "Hello Aleu."

Aleu stopped crying at the sound of Kalu's voice. "Hello, Kalu. What do you want?" she asked, trying not to start crying again.

"Do you have time to talk I heard what you're going through right now." Kalu sat down infront of her. He could feel his tail wagging slightly and forced it to stop.

Aleu sniffled. "Yeah, I guess I could talk about it. I just don't understand why I wasn't taken. I thought everyone would want a pup from Balto and Jenna," she said.

Meanwhile, Ice was sitting outside on the porch with Steele, Amy and Star. She looked through the window and then at Steele. "Oh Steele, she still seems upset," she said.

Kalu sighed he knew that tis was going to be tough for her to accept "Aleu it's because you're like me you're....different and that's one of the reasons why a human didn't take you." he looked off to the side feeling the same pain.

Amy looked through the window next and saw Kalu inside talking with Aleu "Hey take a look at this Kalu's in there talking with her, I think he's trying to calm her down." watching her niece in pain since she was a pup for not getting picked had been hard on all of them.

Aleu's eyes narrowed. "Different? What do you mean by that?!" she demanded, wishing she could understand what was going on. She laid her head down on her paws.

Kalu walked out of the kitchen for a moment and came back in with a small mirror and placed it down next to Aleu. He stepped into the frame with her "Take a look at me and then take a look at yourself Aleu and tell me what do you see." He waited for her response before noticing Ice and the others outside the window before he waked over pulling on the string that closed the shades.

Aleu looked long and hard at the reflection of herself that she saw. "I look a bit like my papa," she said, taking note of her fur and features.

Kalu grabbed a picture of Balto and Jenna offf of the table and place it between them "Now look at your papa and me see how similar we look?" he questioned hoping not to hurt her feelings anymore than they already were.
