Balto nodded. "We can only hope that he doesn't lapse back into his old ways at some point," he said, returning his attention to the pups and Jenna.

Ice smiled at Steele. "You know, Steele, I'm just realizing how incredibly handsome you are," she said, continuing to walk.

Steele smiled looking at Ice and marveling in her beauty "You know Ice I'm really glad that I've got you and that you've given me another chance."

Kalu looked back at Balto and Jenna "Alright guys I'm headed out again I'm gonna get some more training in the forest I'll be back at some point probably once the pups have gotten bigger okay." Kalu smiled at them.

Ice was delighted to finally have Steele as her mate. "You know, things are going to change a lot. You're an uncle now, Steele," she said proudly.

Balto nodded. "Goodbye, Kalu, and thank you for everything that you've done for our family," he said.

Jenna didn't like having Steele part of her life again but as time went on she started to allow more even when it came time to find the pups home and was there for Aleu when she didn't get picked.

Kalu stepped out of the forest stretching out and letting a yawn escape "I can't believe it's been a year already since I came here." he chuckled to himself "I wonder how Jenna and the pups are doing now?"

Balto sighed. "The time came for the pups to be adopted. The adoption went well and Obi, Kodi, Dingo, Saba and Alicia all got homes, but Aleu wasn't picked," he said.

Kalu looked around the town had changed a little in a year he had heard about he pups getting homes all but Aleu and that she was still living with Balto and Jenna. Kalu was interested at how Aleu had grown since he saw her as a pup "Well I guess I should go say hi since I'm in town." Kalu laughed as he headed into town towards Balto and Jenna's home.

Balto nodded. "Perhaps it will be good for her. She was so upset that she cried a few times. I'm trying to find something to take her mind off of it," he said.

Jenna sighed as she heard her daughter crying in the kitchen, it had been a year since she was born and she was grown up now and she was still upset about it. "I'm worried about her Balto she's been so depressed lately we need to find something to take her mind off it."

Kalu continued down the street making it to the house and slipping in through the doggie door seeing Balto and Jenna "Hey guys what's going on? It's been a while since I saw you." Kalu grinned cheekily.

Balto looked at Aleu crying. "We're trying to take her mind off of this. None of us are able to find anything. We're also all wondering why a human didn't take her," he said.

Kalu stared at Balto "Come on Balto you know he reason it's the same as if I was to be mixed in with a litter of pups when I was young." he looked over at the kitchen hearing Aleu cry "Still I do what she's going through."
