Vitani's Story

Scar growled and nodded. "If you want. However, I can't promise that you will find her," he said before walking away.

Nuka thought about whether or not to tell his mom where he was going. He figured he should - or at least try. He ran over to the den and saw his mother, still laying down with Vitani. "Bye, Mom! I'm going to go find Nala!" he called, before running out of the den. He quickly picked up Nala's scent trail, and followed it out far away from Priderock. He noticed there was a moss bed made close by. He sniffed it, and realized with a jolt that Nala had slept here recently. He ran on, still following her trail. He soon saw her stalking up on a warthog. "Go, Nala!" he whispered, not distracting her or alerting the prey. He watched as she raced after the warthog, chasing him under a tree root. He got a little bit closer, making sure not to miss the hunt.

Pumbaa began to squirm as Timon tried to push him out. Pumbaa was scared. "She's going to eat me!" he shouted. Timon took a look and saw the lioness coming. "Whoa!" he shouted.

Nala continued to give chase to the two. Nuka smiled at her amazing hunting skills. She was almost going to have some prey for the pride again. He silently urged her on.

Suddenly, without any warning, Simba came roaring out of the jungle and leaped at the lioness, not recognizing her at all as Nala. He was in a furious rage.

Nala stared in shock for a few moments. What was a lion doing out here, and fighting against her when she could have prey? She pushed the thought away and through herself at the lion. They fought together for a little while. Nuka was pleased and amazed at her fighting skills as well. He was glad he had found her. He watched as she pinned the lion down, a trick he had seen her do many times before for practice.

Suddenly, in a burst of insight, Simba recognized the lioness who had just flipped him. "Nala?" he asked in shock.

Quickly, Nala got off the lion. How did he know her name? "Who are you?" she asked.

Simba smiled. "It's me, Simba," he said gleefully.

[Queen Elsa]

"Simba?" Nala asked, not believing what this lion was saying. Scar had told everyone that he was dead! Nuka had heard the lion, and was fearful now. If Simba came back, it would be the end for Scar, and for him to become king. He ran as fast as he could back to Priderock, not stopping to hunt or anything. When he reached Priderock, he looked around for his father.
