Vitani's Story

Meanwhile, Zira proudly watched her daughter sleep before falling asleep herself, not having a care for the dead Pridelands around her.

After Nuka practiced his stalking techniques, Nala jumped in front of him. "I think that's enough for now. Come on. Let's go back to the den." she said. Nuka nodded, and followed her. Once they reached the den, Nuka curled up next to his mother and fell asleep. Nala wasn't tired. In fact, she was the exact opposite of tired. She was hungry, and wanted to find some food. So she darted away from Priderock and ran far away, soon finding a jungle. She decided to stop and sleep for the night, and hunt tomorrow. She made a nest of moss and leaves and curled up in it, soon falling asleep.

By now, Zira had allowed the other lionesses to come back, but was still keeping them away from Vitani. She wanted to raise Vitani as a fighter, and was determined to keep any of the Pridelanders' influence away.

Vitani woke up the next morning seeing many lionesses around her. She purred loudly, then saw her brother still sound asleep. As quietly as she could, she stalked up on him and, at the last minute, pounced, letting out a playful roar. Nuka woke up just in time to see Vitani land on him, and piercing her claws into his skin.
"Ow! Vitani, get off!" he growled, trying to shake her off. But Vitani was holding on tight, and wasn't letting go. Soon Nuka was able to get her off of him, and wanted to go train some more with Nala. But when he looked around for her, he didn't see her. "Mother, where's Nala?" he asked.

Meanwhile, Nala was out hunting in the jungle. Even out here, away from Priderock, it was hard to find food. She finally spotted a warthog, who was focused on a little bug. She crouched down and got ready to spring at it.

Zira shook her head in response to Nuka's question. "I have no idea. Just keep looking for her," she said.

[Queen Elsa]

"Okay." Nuka replied, before running out of the den and looking around from Priderock to try and get a glimpse of the tan lioness. But there was no sign of her. He sighed and lied down, waiting for her to return.

Meanwhile, Scar looked down at Nuka and sighed irritably. That lion was hardly fit to be his heir. He would not take the throne, Scar decided, forgetting the fact that he was committing the same rejection that his hated father Ahadi had done with him.

After waiting awhile, Nuka decided to go back to the den. But, on his way there, he saw his father looking down at him. "Good morning, father!" he called. "Have you seen Nala anywhere?"

Scar growled in disgust of Nuka's mere presence. "I saw head down into the Pridelands and disappear from sight, but I do not know where she went," he said, just wanting to be left alone.

[Queen Elsa]

"Oh. O-Okay." Nuka replied. "Can I go follow her?"
