Delano chuckled a little bit. "But I don't want to get used to it," he complained playfully, "I mean, it's so great now... What will we do once things like this become boring?" As he rested against Lina, he felt like it might be better to lie down. But they were in too deep of an area to do that, so he forced himself to get up, nudging Lina as well despite her protests, and together they moved to a shallow area of the waterhole.

Delano gently pushed Lina over, and lay down next to her. He smiled at her as he wrapped a paw around her body. "Isn't it better this way?" he asked gently.

Lina smiled as she swam closer to the shore with Delano. "Tell you what, when you get used to this, we can always try new things, together." she shot him a playful smile as they arrived at the shallower part of the waterhole. After 'settling' down, she looked at the splash fight which still seemed to be in her sister's favor and then back at Delano. "Yes, being here in your embrace and watching others getting water splashed at their faces is better than getting water splashed at my face." she chuckled and nuzzled her mate.

Just because Lina mentioned it, Delano grinned and used a paw to splash some water on her face. He quickly stopped, deciding that it was better to lay next her instead of doing something that will cause them to move from where they were now. "As long as you will be with me, I don't mind what we do," he said dreamily, "why would I do anything without you?" He stared into her eyes, transfixed by their gaze.

Lina shot Delano a playful frown when he splashed some water on her face but replaced it with her usual smile when Delano stopped. "I don't know." she answered with a giggle as she stared back into his eyes, "I don't see a reason for me to do anything without you either." It might sound weird, but now that they were officially mates she felt completely different whenever she was with him. It felt like she was falling in love with him again, as off as it probably sounds.

Delano smiled and brought his head over to hers. He was so comfortable lying here in the shallow part of the waterhole with her, that he began to feel drowsy. Closing his eyes, he slowly allowed himself to fall asleep, a paw still wrapped around her. "Lina," he muttered dreamily, "my Lina. Us. Together." And before he knew it, he was already snoring quietly.

Around this time, Umeme was easing her fight with Muroki and Kasi and was able to see what Lina and Delano were doing. She grinned and swam over to Muroki. "Look at them," she whispered, "they look perfect together."

Kasi heard that. Because he himself didn't see the big deal about love yet like Lina or Umeme, he didn't see anything odd. "I dunno," he told Umeme and Muroki. "They look just like the two of you when you are together."

Muroki found Kasi's apathy towards love weird just like Kasi found the whole idea of being in love weird. Now that he was thinking about it, when he came here and even before that he wasn't too keen on finding a mate either, but when he saw Umeme for the first time things changed quite a bit. Perhaps the same will also happen to Kasi if he suddenly saw a lioness and took a liking in her. Either way, Muroki knew that it was none of his business. If it was anybody's job to nag Kasi about that sort of thing it was his parents' job. "You're quite an expert when it comes to splashing water." he said, looking at Umeme with a chuckle.

Umeme grinned back at Muroki and raised a paw in warning, ready to send more water heading his way. "Yeah, I might be the local professional," she replied, "but you know, it's amazing how much you can learn when you use Kasi as a target." At this, Kasi started to swim away from them, suddenly finding the opposite bank of the waterhole a very interesting place to be.

Muroki looked at his cousin and chuckled when he saw him hurriedly swimming away from them in order to avoid Umeme's wrath. He himself wasn't really going to use Kasi as a practicing target, but perhaps his cousin did wisely by staying away from Umeme upon hearing her warning. He wondered whether this was what things looked like back when Kasi, Umeme and Lina were still cubs. "I think we should leave Kasi alone." he said with a smile as he lowered her paw, deciding to help his cousin out a little by keeping Umeme off his back.

Umeme grinned and allowed Muroki to lower her paw for him. "Hmm, you might not be wrong about that," she replied, using the new calm that Kasi's escape created to get close to Muroki and nuzzle him as much as she could while still floating above the water. "So now it's just the two of us again," she whispered, gently giving him a lick. "I don't mind at all."

Muroki, while he knew that he wasn't really putting himself through anything painful or difficult, figured that Kasi was probably quite grateful for not having Umeme chase him down and try to drown him with splashes of water. "I don't mind it at all either." he said, smiling and returning her nuzzle. 'And neither does Kasi'. he thought to himself, finding that thought rather amusing. "You know, napping like that in the water seems quite nice." he admitted, referring to the way Lina and Delano were napping. "We should give it a try sometime, especially during those days where it's really hot..."
