As much as Umeme did not want to move from where she and Muroki were, with Delano calling out to them and Muroki answering, it wasn't like she had much of a choice. "It's okay. I'll go in with you," she said to Muroki when they got up, and together, they walked into the water. Swimming over to Delano and Lina, they were soon joined by Kasi, and with a quick start from Umeme, all five of them were once again splashing each other and fooling around like cubs.

Delano couldn't help but laugh, even if it did mean that he needed up swallowing water on more than once occasion. It had been a very long time since he had this much fun, and he felt like he had just rediscovered a long lost part of him that had disappeared ever since his and Muroki's parents were murdered. As he flashed Lina a smile followed by a swipe from his paw to send a wave of water her way, he knew that he wanted this moment to last forever.

Muroki was kind of expecting another splashing fight to occur, but nevertheless he waited for somebody else to start it just for the fun of it. Soon enough it again felt to him as if he was was a cub again, which made him think about what his life would have looked like had he, Delano and their parents lived in a pride. He might have turned out with memories that would remind him of what he was feeling at the moment. But just because he only had his brother for a friend when he was a cub didn't mean that he couldn't enjoy moments like this.

While Umeme and Lina had played around like this quite often when they were cubs, Umeme could clearly see how new this was for Delano and Muroki. If anything, this made now even better, seeing how they were able to relax so much after the long time of worrying about one thing or another.

Delano used a paw to brush some wet mane away from his eyes before swimming over to Muroki. "Just like old times, huh?" he asked his brother, "no... even better!.. Even better than before!" He causally shoved his brother underwater before quickly escaping behind Lina to hide from his brother.

Muroki looked at his brother and laughed, "Yeah, this is much better than before!" within less than a moment he found himself underwater, which resulted with him swallowing some water as a result of not being prepared. He resurfaced and coughed for a moment, before catching sight of his brother who was hiding being Lina. He splashed some water in their direction and, like he expected, Lina simply moved aside and the water hit Delano straight in the face. He and Lina laughed for a moment, looked at each other, and then Lina splashed some water at him in return.

With Muroki preoccupied with Delano and Lina, Umeme swam carefully to where she was in a perfect spot to get all of them. With one swift stroke, she grinned in success when the wave she created overtook not only those three, but Kasi as well.

Kasi, who rather liked being on the sidelines and out of trouble, blinked furiously when water got into his eyes from Umeme's stunt. "Delano! Help me out and get her back!"

Delano grinned and started to make his way towards Umeme, but making sure that he swam so horribly and splashed so much, that Lina was constantly being bombarded by water from him.

Despite being splashed constantly by Delano's poor way of swimming, Lina could not help but chuckle at the way he was swimming like a cub who had just entered the water for the first time in his life. It would be quite awkward if anybody were to somehow come across the waterhole and see them, but as far as they were all aware they were the only one who even knew of its existence, which was one of the things that made it so special. Deciding to use this opportunity to take a small break from the splashing, she swam close to the shore and watched with amusement as the others united against Umeme.

Umeme was surprised to find everyone going after her, so she in turn did her best to make sure that she was not easy to get. So even though it was three on one, she grinned with success as she was able to keep them at bay away from her.

Trying to get Umeme, Delano decided, was not the brightest of ideas. Just tying to get close to her resulted in immediate and overwhelming retaliation in the form of waves of water heading his way. Eventually, he felt himself start to tire out again, and swam off. Spotting Lina in a shallow area of the waterhole, he swam over to her. "Hey again," he placed his head on hers, content to be able to rest on her.

Lina watched as Muroki and Kasi decided to attack Umeme from two different direction in order to make it impossible for her to defend herself from both of them. She looked at Delano and smiled, "Hey you." she said, rubbing her head against his. "I missed you." they may have not really left each other, but she had to admit that being right next to her mate was much better. In addition, watching Kasi's annoyed expression whenever Umeme splashed some water right into his face was quite amusing.

Delano purred in contentment, eyes closed, when Lina rubbed her head with his. "I missed you too," he said, not finding it any strange at all that being away from Lina for more than a few moments made him always get back to her. A particularly loud splash made him open his eyes just in time to see Umeme just about dive on Kasi and Muroki. The sight made him and Lina laugh. "Can't believe we never did this before," Delano said, "because this is... it's just too much fun."

He leaned over and took his time giving Lina a nice long, loving lick. "if this is how life will be from now on," he said, closing his eyes again and placing his head back on hers, "well, I'm afraid for the day when I'll get used to this."

Lina also laughed as her sister kept going crazy on the two helpless males who seemed to be regretting ever crossing Umeme's path. "Yeah, it really does feel like we should have done this a long time ago." she giggled when Delano licked her and they rested their heads against the other's. "Oh, I think you'll be quite alright once you get used to it." it might take her some time to finally accept that all of their troubles were over, but she couldn't wait for that either.
