Lol. Server/Waitress. I actually do like serving, as crazy as that sounds. I just hate the drama that seems to come with the food service industry. I don't know, plus being called in for a double shift tonight

I work 18 hours a week permanent hours in a store. I do extra time in the holidays for extra money. But its more than enough to pay my phone and car and still live happily, so it will do until I finish education. Generally doing anything from serving customers, restocking shelves and ordering new stuff, luckily I get on well with everyone there which makes it not too bad.

EDIT - And yeah, I dont expect many replies to this thread with the current unemployment levels, which is another point - im just glad to have A job right now, its like less than 10 minutes walking distance from my house too.

Nice. I work about a mile from where I live which is nice. I get about 20-25 hours a week but just got a second job, to pay my new car payment. Yay. Growin up is no fun.

I'm a cart associate working at Sam's Club. Basically, this job requires strength (which I don't have a lot of) to push shopping carts and flat carts into lines, and use a cart pusher to push them to the front of the store. So far, I like it, but I hate this summer heat that my coworkers have to work under. However, I'm at least making a decent salary so far.

If I wasn't working, then, I would be at home watching television and surfing the Internet.

I'm a teacher, 7th grade science. I teach. The only thing I would change would be the school. It's not that I don't like it there, it's just kind of far from where I live. It took me three years to actually find a teaching job, so I'm not going to complain about that at this point. I like my job, I really do.

I don't have a job. It really isn't even possible for me, not right now. There's nowhere I can work. I'll be going back to school in another month, so it's not that big of a deal to me, I just wish I had some spare cash, y'know? Considering that I live with my parents, even a minimum wage part time job would give me quite a bit of money to spend freely.

Seriously; don't stop looking :D having a job while still living at home is a great time in life since you have almost no responsibilities that need paying so almost all the money is disposable income; which for the first months is pretty damn fun just to walk into a store and not really have to think about how much you are spending. The problem is having the money gets boring after a while; but then you start driving and your life really begins.

Gawd I feel so old on here, a lot of young people; some of them probably still foetuses in fact.

Unemployed. Sad, because i've never had a gap in employment since I was 13 untill now. It suckssss. I am looking really hard though as I hate living off the pennies the government very kindly provides us... Yeh.... we can't even afford to eat sometimes >_<

I've been driving for two years, and I've had my own car for almost a year. I paid for half of it, with two years of savings without actually being employed. I could never get a job without a car, because everything is at least 10km away; that's not exactly walking distance, and walking would be very dangerous.

But, as long as I'm a full time student, I really don't see much need to have a job, other than for experience. The whole reason why I'm going to school is so that I'll eventually have a job that I'll actually like. Although it's kinda tough to decide, I don't think joining the workforce now is the quickest path to that point.
