Even though Delano was tired, as he looked at the water, he got an idea. He got up, smiling at Lina. "Hey, Lina, I just wanted to say that," he then shoved her off the shore and jumped in after her. As soon as her head broke the surface, he grinned at her. "I just wanted to say that you are so fun to push into water."

Umeme smirked at Muroki, especially after she saw how Delano and Lina were now in the cool waterhole. "More than half the time," she said, "now come on! You too, Kasi!" Urging the other two forward, they ran down to the water as well.

Lina was trying to figure out what exactly were the odds for this to happen. "You know, I thought about pushing you but I thought you should rest first." she giggled and splashed some water at him.

At first Muroki thought that they would end up having to force Kasi to jump inside, but to his surprise his cousin joined them rather willingly. Even though he himself hadn't ran or anything on the way, it still felt refreshing to suddenly dive into the waterhole. And the best thing was that they didn't have to worry about anything else in the world.

Delano splashed Lina back. "I thought that might have crossed your mind," he said, "which was why I pushed you in before you would do it to me!" His reward for that was a face full of water from Lina. As he was about to splash her back again, he realized that the others had joined him and Lina as well. "Come on you guys, help me keep Lina at bay!" he said, looking at Muroki and Kasi for support.

Umeme swam over to Lina. "So now it's war, is it?" she asked. She faced Muroki and Delano, a glint in her eyes. "You boys don't know what you guys are getting yourselves into." Kasi, who knew how rough Lina and Umeme can get in water, looked quite nervous.

At first Lina had a hard time grasping what was happening. The last time she had actually participated in a 'water war' was when she was still a cub. But it looked like it was 2 against 3. Well, 2 against 2 and Kasi by the nervous look on his face. Muroki shrugged and swam over to his brother, not caring about splashing some water and getting some back right to the face. He was about to ask something when Umeme shot a well aimed splash right into his face. He gave her a playful frown and returned the gesture.

Umeme saw Muroki open his mouth, perhaps to say something, and used the opportunity to splash water straight at him. He in turn retaliated, and soon enough, all five of them were splashing each other in a mad free-for-all. Even Kasi joined in, despite his initial nervousness.

Delano splashed Lina yet again, glad to be finally doing something with all of them. The entire time he had spent basically lying on his side waiting for his leg to heal, he was yearning to do something like this. To be able to move around and enjoy himself with them, especially Lina. As he looked at her, he slowed down as he got transfixed by her.

It took a rough splash by someone else to wake Delano up and he joined in the fight again. He looked at Lina again, thinking. After they will stop this, there was something he wanted to ask her.

While at first the 'war' was basically boys against girls, eventually everybody were splashing water randomly at everybody else. It started with Muroki being unable to help himself when he saw Delano's expression while his brother was staring at Lina. At first Muroki thought that doing something that was considered so juvenile like a water fight would soon get boring, but it didn't. In fact he couldn't remember the last time he had such a great time.

Delano too had a great time, but eventually, much sooner than he liked, he began to tire and stopped splashing the others. Dragging himself onto shore, he lay down at the bank of the water and was content to watch the others as they battled each other in the water. He watched Lina mostly, wanting to join her again in the water, but too tired to move there. But he knew that eventually, he would be strong enough again to always be with Lina, no matter what she will be doing. Closing his eyes, Delano started to fall asleep as he listened to the sound of the water splashing next to him.

The splashing continued for a while for Lina until she suddenly noticed that Delano had retired from the game, again probably as the result of being immobile for more than a month. Deciding that maybe it was a good for her to quit as well and that it will grant her front-row seats to what was probably a rather amusing show, she swam to the shore and, after shaking herself dry, lay down at Delano's side. Watching others splash water in each other's faces turned out to be more amusing than she thought it'll be.

Even though he was nearly asleep when Lina came up to him, Delano opened his eyes and smiled slightly. "Sorry for leaving so soon," he muttered, "but I got too tired." He leaned against her body and the two of them watched as Kasi and Muroki had to deal with Umeme. Delano watched in interest as Umeme easily kept the two males at bay all on her own. "Hey, Lina, when did Umeme get so good at splashing?" he asked Lina. "because I'd hate to see her angry. Not like you." He quickly looked at Lina and licked her. "I like you better, though."

Lina couldn't help but chuckle at Delano's comment about not wanting to see Umeme angry. "Don't worry, you won't. Seeing how she's easily winning, there's no reason for her to get angry anyhow. Beside, it takes something much more serious than losing a game in order to make her really lose her temper. Trust me, I know." She pretended to frown as Delano said he liked her better, "Well I should hope so." she giggled, licking Delano's cheek and resting her head in his still wet mane.
