Gosh....I love deer meat! It's very tasty stewed! I haven't had it in a while though. I want to. My father used to hunt deer, and when ever he came home on a cold winter's day, my mother would cook deer meat stew. It had dumplings, and veggies. Man it was so good! lol
sounds great. I've had it in soup, neck roasts, steak, steak tips, bbq, and jerky. personally I think its hard to make it taste bad

I haven't had it in about 2 years, though. my dad isn't the best hunter and last year no one we knew had extra deer meat.
And yeah, I don't mind if whatever I'm eating was once alive... as long as the animal was only killed for food I don't really care. It's part of the circle of life, deal with it.

Although a couple of years ago when I went to a chicken farm and saw the conditions the poor chickens were in, I gave up meat for almost a week!

same feeling. well, I saw a video in nutrition class about the conditions of animals on commercial farms. the chickens were the saddest. but cows and pigs in those places only have enough room to move up and down so that the meat is tender and more marbled with fat cause of consumer demand

but I didn't give up meat, I just cut back on it for a bit. I did try to be a vegetarian once...but the turkey pepperoni called to me XD
