^ I got that especially for Jeremy Irons. I watched it when it aired. BRILLIANT stuff and yes I did imagine Scar speaking. I have no doubt that his voice acting of one of the most iconic Disney characters played a part in National Geographic in choosing him to narrate it. It is a documentary/film. I do not wish to spoil it but it is really good.

I love all movies where Nathan Lane is in them. I don't know if it's just me or if it's done on purpose, but I have yet to see any movie where his character cannot be replaced by Timon, with only minor alterations. For example: the movie He Said, She said Lane plays a TV show director who has to shuffle between being a good person and keeping ratings up. The results can get quite... hilarious.

What's even funnier is that this movie came out before The Lion King!

If only that movie wasn't horrifyingly terrible.

I like Broderick, but Don Adams is the real Inspector Gadget.

I saw Matthew Broderick in Godzilla and kept thinking about Simba.
Have seen Jeremy Irons in several films but most recently The Merchant of Venice, all I could think of was Scar.
Saw James Earl Jones in a TV show (can't remember which one right now....!?) and thought MUFASAAA.
Rowan Atkinson in anything still = Zazu (yes this includes Mr Bean lol)
Whoopi Goldberg will always be Shenzi.

I guess I'm a tad obsessed

I was watching the Borgias the other day and there was a part where Rodrigo Borgia (Jeremy Irons) was angry and he was letting out what sounded like these angry growls/barks. Yes, I thought Scaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!

Nathan Lane & Jeremy Irons' voices are really easy to recognize, and so when I do hear them, I always think of Timon & Scar :D
I remember being in school, we had just read Merchant of Venice, and we were going to watch the movie. As soon as I heard Jeremy's voice I felt like fangirling, but I managed to keep calm haha! But I was grinning like an idiot xD

As for Nathan Lane, I LOVED the way he voiced Snowbell in Stuart Little. He was cast perfectly for that role. Sure, I still recognized him as Timon, but I also saw that that was Snowbell's voice and it was perfect! :D

I personally find it hilarious when I recognize their voices, it shows how big fans we are! :D It's awesome!

When I was ten, I remember browsing the tv and I saw 'Jeremy Irons' and clicked. I did that twice and the films in question were 'Lolita' and 'M. Butterfly' I wanted to see what Scar's voice actor looked like. I looked for him via the sound of his voice. I did not finish the films because they were R rated and I did not want to get yelled at. LOL!

When I was young, I used to watch That's So Raven, and I found out that Mr. Petrachelli was played by Ernie Sabella. I was disappointed that his normal voice didn't sound like Pumbaa's.
