The fact remains, Disney can't ignore The Lion King! It's their best animated film! They have to come out with better quality versions eventually.

well, in TLK2:SP there are concept characters that reinforce the Chaka being a separate cub from Kiara theory, Kirijah and Timira who were two concepts for Chaka's mate.

but I don't know if there are any unknowns left for the original movie.

and it's a good thing if they took it down. it means they've received enough interest to begin working on it. TLK isn't coming to Blu-Ray this year, though, the release calendar is through December doesn't have it on it. I'd venture it'll be late next year or sometime in 2011 before we see it.

You know I have to admit, I'd like Disney to make there original version of TLK 2, Simba's Pride. I think it be cool

I agree with Simba on the time that it might come out on blue-ray, but I also thought that maybe they will release it on blue ray with TLK 2:SP as well on its 15th anniversary or 1 to 2 years before. So I predict maybe 2013 at the latest it will be released.

yeah, it's been around for about a year. it's a longer lasting high-definition disk much like a DVD that can hold even larger amounts of...stuff?

but yes, it's a newish format for movies. like how DVD replaced VHS, Blu-Ray will likely replace DVDs at some point in the future.
