Well, Simba means lion in Swahili. Some say he copied Kimba the white lion.

I can't see why... I don't know much about Kimba. Well, the meaning of the word "kimba" is quite... interesting. It means corpse in Swahili.

Lion cubs are often drawn with some kind of headtufts. And the ear rims are unusual? I wouldn't say so... If someone thinks Kimba and Simba look alike, I must look like Rafiki...

Of course there are similarities between Kimba the White Lion and TLK, its just like music. Everything has influence of something else. Ever hear a song, and theres a short part of a melody or chord progression where you suddenly think "ooh I've heard that before"? This is exactly the same concept, just with animation. On a whole, there is no such thing as absolutely original material, thats just the way humans are. We all have similar thought and ideas. People making an epic drama about "waaah TLK ripped off Kimba blah blah TL;DR" need to get over it

i agree O.o ive watched most of Kimba's Episodes and watches TLK almot same stuff and dosnt Kimba sound like Simba?
