Tear My Heart To Pieces (DGFone and AmyMarie)

(OOC: *Taalo =P It's easy to get confused, I know. Sitting here fangirling because a character from my favourite TV show regularly uses the line "I thought you'd never ask" ^_^)

Amy beamed happily when Aisha said she'd go with her. She wanted her family to meet her, she knew they'd like her.
"Yeah, plenty of new faces to meet. You never know, it could be more than 17 now...last time I left my auntie was pregnant". Amy smiled, she loved spending time with her younger and older cousins.

Lyra decided not to say anything against Rakaia. Even she knew there was some sort of secret going on between Delano and Amy.
"Well...Rakaia might be right, she might not be. There is something going on Toro, but I don't think it's what you and Rakaia think it is. Maybe Delano just doesn't want anyone but Amy to know...".

Taalo slowed down to walk beside his mate. Going close to her and purring happily. He gave her cheek a lick as he continued to walk on.
"So, which prey are you focusing on in this evening's hunt?". He knew Malkia planned what she was hopefully going to hunt with the hunting party beforehand.

Aisha was slightly surprised at the news, but only smiled even more when she finally understood what it meant. "Well, then all the more reason to go!" she said, "to meet some of your new family that even you have yet to see."

Toro nodded. "Lyra, until I see something with my own eyes, how about I believe that nothing is happening, how about that?" he asked, only to pause when she finished talking. "Wait, maybe he knows what exactly? What would he want me not knowing?" He didn't like the sound of that.

Malkia giggled when Taalo licked her. "Well, of course I will have to see what prey there is," she said, "but how does some gazelle sound? I've seen a good number of them around here lately, and I think we can catch one or two that will satisfy all of us."

Amy grinned,
"I just wonder how many cubs my auntie had, she usually has big litters, her last one was 2, but the one before that was 4. Out of her 6 so far, only 2 remain in the pride". She pondered over something for a moment.

"My eldest male cousin would probably like you ya know...you seem like they're type". Amy winked, ever since she had found mate she had been endlessly trying to find Aisha one. Actually, her cousin would probably like Aisha. He was called Nishati, meaning energy, he was a very outgoing lion who liked to have his opinion about things. He was also good with advice, much like Aisha was.

Lyra sighed and got up, her head hurt slightly, she didn't quite know why.
"Toro, every one needs a private life. Delano and Amy included. I'll see you later". She walked off, making her way back to the cave for a nap to sleep off this recent head ache.

Taalo licked his lips,
"Sounds great, haven't had gazelle in a while have we? The pride will be happy. After all, we rarely go without food. Only in the winter months do we struggle slightly". Shaking his mane, he stretched for a moment. Giving an 'ooof'. "My back will never be the same, not after that fight with that leopard a year ago". He chuckled, he laughed about it now, but it was scary at the time.

A large male leopard had wondered onto the territory and had found a pair of cubs in the pride, of course, other predators would gladly kill the cubs of another species but Taalo got there just in time. The leopard severely hurt his back, and it's never been the same since. He had worried that when danger came, he wouldn't be able to protect the pride. That's one of the reasons he was so willing to let a strong male like Toro join.

Aisha blushed, understanding what Amy was getting at. "Yeah, alright, I'll go with you," she said, "if only to see your cousin." Aisha didn't feel not ready yet for a relationship, but she didn't feel the need to go searching for one yet either. But if Amy will do all the work, Aisha didn't feel like arguing. "So when do you want to leave?" she finally asked.

Toro let Lyra walk away to let her spent some time alone. After a while, he turned and walked back to Rakaia. "Hey, I'm back!" he said cheerfully. "Lyra just didn't want me to go looking for trouble with Amy," he explained, "we'll figure something out, I'm sure of it."'

Malkia grinned and patted Taalo on his back. "I'm sure you won't need to get into such fights anymore," she told him, "besides, I think I gave you quite a lecture about fighting alone after that fight." What it came down to was that Malkia had to explain to Taalo that it was better for him to suffer a bit of personal pride and get some help instead of fighting alone and getting himself killed, at which the pride could easily collapse without him.

Amy smiled happily at hearing Ashia's response. She knew her friend wasn't keen on getting into a relationship, but Nishati was a really nice lion.
"I was thinking at the next full moon? Which is 6 nights away. The cubs were due around this full moon", Amy replied to her question. She hoped her family was alright though, and her auntie was going to have a successful birth.

Rakaia was glad Toro had returned, she walked up to him a nuzzled him lightly in a greeting. She growled slightly,
"Stupid Lyra", she thought. She soon covered her growling up with a smile. "Well, I'll stand by what I said, there is something going on between the pair".

Taalo raised his eye brow at her words. He remembered though, how she had told him to never fight on his own again. Chuckling, he replied with,
"I sure remember that lecture. And I won't be...I have Delano and Toro to back me up now, as well as all of you lionesses". He continued walking towards the waterhole, when it was in sight, he looked around, checking everything was ok. Walking up to the water's edge, he took a few laps of water and sighed happily,"That's a little better now".

Aisha liked the sound of leaving in six days. It would give her the chance to tell everyone her plans to go with Amy to the other pride, but at the same time, it won't be too far into the future to the point that everyone would forget about it, or grow bored waiting. "Will your old pride know that we're coming, or will it be more of a surprise?" Aisha asked, curious.

Toro shrugged. "Until I see anything, I will assume that Amy isn't doing anything," he said simply, "it's for the best."

Malkia followed Taalo to the water, grinning as he took a drink from waterhole. "Feeling better now?" she asked, giving him a quick lick. "I am certain that you will be able to do the right thing when you need to, so you can stop worrying. You are a great leader."

Amy smiled but shrugged,
"I knew when the cubs were due so, they expect me to come anytime from this week to next week, but I guess it's a surprise". She stretched out slightly, and noticed it was afternoon. Time goes fast when your with friends, talking and relaxing.

Rakaia prevented herself from sighing angrily, but she knew to slowly help break them up, it would have to be done just that, slowly. She sighed as a somewhat cool afternoon breeze hit her.
"Ok then...if you do see anything, then I'm here to support you".

Taalo grinned and returned the lick,
"Yeah, feeling a lot better". He listened to her words and smiled, "Great leader? Well, your an amazing leader as well. Don't know what I'd do without you". He paused for a moment, seeing the water and feeling cubbish, he smirked and splashed his mate, laughing as he did so.

Aisha grinned. "It will also be a surprise when I come with you, won't it?" She asked, "after all, all the previous times, you came on your own." At that moment, her stomach grumbled and she looked at the sun, trying to figure out the time. Her face fell when she realized how late it had gotten. "Oh, better go and get ready for the hunt now. Time for you to stretch your legs."

Toro smiled and gave Rakaia a quick lick. "Thanks, you're a great friend, you know that?" He reached out and gave her a nuzzle, grateful for someone who was there fore him.

At first, Malkia thought of returning Taalo's splash with some revenge on her own, but a side glance at the sun told her that she won't have a lot of time to do so, so she got a better idea. "I'd normally get my revenge now," she said coldly, but grinning widely, "but I have to go and organize the hunting party, so you get to enjoy the rest of the day knowing that soon, I will get my revenge on your trick." She shook herself dry, making sure to get as much of Taalo as wet as possible, before turning away with a smirk and walking off.

Amy hadn't thought about that,
"Oh yeah, well, I'm sure they'll all love you!". Amy then followed Aisha's gaze to the sun, and also realized that it had gotten pretty late. At hearing Aisha's words, Amy grinned, "Mhm, finally". She stood up and shook herself out of that relaxed phase she had gotten into. "Let's go", she began walking out of the woods, waiting for Aisha to walk alongside her.

Rakaia had sworn she felt shivers run down her spine when Toro licked and nuzzled her, she grinned broadly,
"No problem, your a good friend too". She was all too happy to return the nuzzle, and the lick for the matter. She dragged her tounge over his check in a slow, loving manner. She wondered if she took it too far, but she honestly didn't care.

Taalo just grinned wickedly at his mate,
"Haha". He sighed for a moment, "Oh well, good luck on the hunt though!". He gave a 'uhhh' when he got all wet from Malkia shaking her coat. He rolled his eyes as she walked off, he smiled and made his way back to the den.

Malkia left Taalo, grinning as his groan reached her ears. Then she set her mind on the hunt, and gathering up enough pride members to make it successful. As if on cue, after only a little of bit of searching, she came across Amy and Aisha. "Well girls, ready for the hunt?" she asked.

Aisha was surprised at how quickly Malkia had found them, but not annoyed. "Yeah, we're ready," she replied, grinning. The sooner they can get assembled, the sooner they can start the hunt.

One of Toro's eyes widened in surprise when he felt Rakaia return his lick in her manner. Even though it slightly shocked him, he didn't do anything about it, enjoying the feeling of her tongue on him.
