And I like how the fight about how America is awful is based off of our passing some internet bill. Because blogs on the internet is such a huge frickin' deal in the scheme of the world. I happen to be very proud of the good ol' red white and blue. We can fight all day about happiness indexes and whatnot, and I do respect that Norway's an awesome place that probably has unreal social programs and a very incorrupt, efficient government, but who saved you guys's butts when the Nazis rolled over you guys like a steamroller over a weiner dog? Aww yeah. Get dat red white and blue. <3

Also I'm asking a mod to split this topic because amanderz isn't feeling the nationalism debate. Which is all good. ;3

With regards to the bill, I probably already presented my views above: I really couldn't care much less about bills limiting the internet. It annoys me, yeah, but its such a small issue. Let's cover health care, poverty, and our military involvement abroad before we facepalm about the internet. My humble opinion.

^To add my opinion. (I already said this, but it most likely got skipped over to my pro-USA part)

I actually think that it's a good thing that such bills can be even made. No, I do not like them, and I do hope and believe that they will die out. But the main thing is that should someone see a way that they think can improve the USA, (or got payed to think that), they can still do something. This is much better, IMHO, than a system where everyone is happy, but the everyone is defined very narrowly, and should you happen to not be one of these 'everyone', you don't have any options to try and improve things.

Yes, people here abuse the power to change the government. But I would much rather have people abuse it and get stopped all the time rather than for no one to be able to do so when it is finally needed for real.

So specifically for this bill: No, I don't like it. I don't like it one bit. I want to see it stall and die, and am waiting for that moment. But at the same time, I am glad that this bill was able to be made in the first place, because that is important - the ability to try and change things for the better, even if you're wrong.

Oh god. SOPA, PIPA, ACTA, and now CISPA?!?
I'm an American, but I'm pretty nervous right now. They said something about your privacy getting stolen... NO. I have some private things on this computer. I don't want all my secrets revealed and my rep ruined.
I really hope we can stop CISPA.....

Netherlands rejects acta and creates something called "neutral net law". This law prevents any acts like sopa or acta to pass in our country. Usa should get something like that now.

They don't give up, they just don't get that we don't want these bills to pass!
