Vex was frozen to the spot. She had Taka yelling in her ear and her eyes would not move away from Simba and her father.
"I.." She began, but broke off as Nova ran past her and aimed to attack Ryuu.
The hate Vex once had for him seemed to disband and she was stood watching her mother attacking him. Something inside of her snapped and she suddenly launched herself at Nova.

"They surrendered! Why do you continue to fight against them?" Vex yelled.
Simba was struggling to stand now and he collapsed in a pool of his own blood.
