Suuu I watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame for the first time ever last night... its a really good film, but kinda bad for kiddies!

I wouldn't necessarily say it's bad for kiddies...generally speaking. I think this movie has many valuable lessons for them to learn, such as not judging anyone by appearance. It certainly taught me a lot of things even when I first saw it at 4 years old. The more adult aspects of it might be a little too complicated for young kids to grasp, but that doesn't mean all of them are bothered by it. For me it just kind of went completely over my head, I didn't even realise that I didnt understand them if you know what I mean. I just enjoyed the parts of the film that I did understand, which was obviously enough for me to fall in love with it and still love it to this day lol. It basically all comes down to the individual child and how they interpret things, but I seriously doubt that it's scarred anyone for life. Kids don't see things the same way that adults do. Most of them probably wouldn't even react to Frollo using the word "Hellfire" in a song. They might not understand the hatred towards gypsies, racism etc. but I don't see what's so bad about simply explaining that to them. I personally think that the earlier they are informed of these things, the better. I think that learning to be accepting towards other people and to look past irrelevant things such as appearance is one of the best lessons a child, or any person for that matter, can learn.
