Happy kick-off to summer!
And awed by the pivotal and monumental moments in history veterans have witnessed and may have lost thier lives to. I don't glorify veterans, I've known enough current ones to know they're as deeply flawed as the next of us, but. One of the very elderly gentlemen who is active in our local Historical Society is a WWII vet who served under Patton and participated in the D-Day Invasion, the second wave to decend on Normandy Beach, and only says he saw "things we don't think about". So here's a spare thought to those who died in that moment and others like it.
