Yadda yadda yadda F-22.
What about the Mikoyan 1.42? Nobody seems to care about that.

1. It's the MiG 1.4
42. It was never made.
3. Therefore, it loses.
There is also a Mikoyan 1.42, although it hasn't been built. Two MiG 1.44s were built.

1. Only 2 made
2. Huge as... bigger than any fighter should be.
3. Ugly. Have you seen that backside? It's the size of a Football field.
4. Forward swept wings are a failed design. The 47 has forwards swept wings. It fails. Just like the 1.44
Don't be so hard on the Su-47. It's just a prototype, you know, just to see what would happen. Because Russians are awesome like that.

Works.
F-35.
Smaller than the F-22.

Tested.
Also works.
No combat record available to this date.
Also:
F-22 is too expensive to be practical, and has had many mechanical failures to date.
Honestly, I'll place my bets on a squadron of F-15s, or F-16s. They may not have stealth, thrust vectoring, or any other fancy next-gen avionics, but we know they work. They've proven to be reliable and effective in combat time and time again.
