I ended up having to use FRAPS to create a .avi recording of an emulator of the Lion King game, then handbrake to convert it to a .mp4 so that quicktime can decode it, and then use quicktime to import it directly into photoshop, and then edit it enough so that it stays under the 0.25MB size limit when exported as a .gif. This is after many failed attempts to use other programs.
Hmm... just realized I haven't eaten in 5 hours. Why do I do stuff like this?

Ok Frida, so next time you feel like randomly experimenting with a drawing by adding an effect that you know nothing about.....DON'T. Or at least make sure you inspect it carefully before the undo button is way out of reach.
