no matter how good governments start out, they always become corrupt. Governments are seen as a way to gain power and prestige over everyone else. They will do everything and anything to keep that power until the common people overthrow them, and then it starts all over again. Governments will be the downfall of us.

Then, if not governments, what do you suggest? Is anarchy any better?

No, even if we had anarchy some one would become power hungry and start oppressing people and he will most likely become a dictator. Governments is a never ending cycle because of human greed. If only we could get greed out of people when they are still children, we might be able to get rid corrupt governments.

I don't think that's even possible. We're humans, not vulcans.

I know, just throwing out wishes there... What is a vulcan by the way? is it some sy fi type thingy????

lol yes. Vulcans are a race in Star Trek similar to humans, who live by reason and logic, with no interference from emotions.

That's nice to know Regulus... How would you suggest we get rid of government then?

[Regulus]

I don't. We need government. My only suggestion would be to manipulate the economy a bit, so that no person can horde it all. I'm not suggesting communism, we all know that doesn't work, but capitalism in the extreme we have today is destroying our society.

You never know though, maybe in a few dozen years we'll all have robot overlords. This is exactly why we don't want computers to be able to think.

That is true, but again if we do start to manipulate the economy, how would people react? Honestly, people would hate that, they love what they have now and don't want it to change. And communism. HA, good job Lenin, that was such a smart idea you had for Russia, it didn't make it so that millions of people starve and die at all... And don't get me started on technology.
