That would depend on what their nationality is. Four Americans of average size can't even fit inside the cargo bay of an 18 wheeler. The suspension system isn't nearly strong enough to support that kind of weight. Even if it could, you should be careful. You don't want to risk creating a black hole.

For most other ethnicities, I'd say four is about right, although it would still probably weigh you down on an observable level.

You would probably be better off measuring it by weight. Without referencing the technical manual, I'd guess the maximum amount would be somewhere in the range of 500lbs. How much do children weigh?
