The cubs lowered there heads. "I guess king and Queens get scared too, hugh." Kopa asked his father.

Simba smiled. "You know, when I was your age, your mother and I did something like what you did. We nearly died that day," he said.

" But if we didn't wander off, we never would've met Kovu and Vitani." Kiara added.

Simba headed back towards the den. "That's not the point. I give you rules for a reason. What if they weren't the ones you met?" he said.

Kopa and Kiara sighed, knowing their father was right. " So what's our punishment?" Kopa asked.

"So where exactly do you two plan to go and, why do you want to be here so much?" Nyx, still following Damon and Makaila suddenly spoke up. "I mean, if Scar's your grandfather and all, I guess I get that but, why didn't your father stick around then? If I may pry" she realized she might be asking too much, but then given this Leo would have been her cousin, it was half her buisiness she supposed.

Nala looked up to see Simba entering the cave. She smiled and got to her feet.

"Oh im sure we'll think of something" She said, looking down at Kiara and Kopa

"Leo is a cannibal. Scar caught him eating another lioness and exiled him. The only good thing he ever did." Damn said to Nyx. "I'm taking Makaila to pride rock." He added. "As for me, I'll tell you. as we go through life get a long list of memories, if your lucky most of them will be good. If not, some will be bad. And if your really unlucky like me, Some will be so bad you'll never want to be reminded of them again. You'll go far away to a place that holds absolutly no memories for you and there you'll be happy just to forget and be forgotten." Damon said.

This answer was definately not one Nyx expected. "Oh..." even her experience with a hard grandmother and living amongst the Outlanders didn't really compare to something like that. She didn't know what to say, as he talked of bad memories, that wouldn't just make it worse. If he was looking for better, maybe he shouldn't be here, she thought, but then maybe he was tough enough to handle himself.

"Well, uh, not saying you can't do it but getting to Pride Rock's a bit tricky right now, seen as Mufasa's son, Simba, rules it now and Scar and Zira haven't figure out a way to get it from him successfully yet".

As she watched the cubs head off with Nyx following, Zira commented to Scar, "Since Kovu and Vitani have abanoned us and their future, I'm wondering if this Damon may not prove useful to train in their place" she said, almost thoughtfully.

"Then they should move on and find a kingdom elsewhere." Damon said as he and Makaila left nyx.
