"Here we are mom." Kopa and Kiara said, their heads hung, knowing that they were in deep trouble.

Simba turned. "Why did you decide to go? Don't you know dangerous it is out there?!" he shouted.

Nala looked down at the cubs, though she decided to let Simba handle this.

"Go easy on them Simba, you were young once" She said, nuzzling him gently.

"Come on you two, let me show you the den" She said to Kovu and Vitani so that Simba could be left to speak with their cubs.

"Cause we wanted to be brave like you and mom." Kopa said. "Yeah, nothing scares yo two." Kiara added.

"Ok, Come on Tani." Kovu smiled as they explored the den. As they layed down, it even felt better that the termite mounds thy were use to. "This sure beats the termite mounds we use to sleep in." Vitani said. "Yeah, and no termites to bite us." Kovu added. The two out casted cubs troted over and affectionately nuzzled Nala. " Thank you for accepting us queen Nala." Vittani said. " Yeah, your not as bad as Scar and Zira said you were." Kovu added.

Nala led the two cubs to the den where they lay down. She smiled as they said how much nicer it is here. As they nuzzled her she wasn't sure how to take it, but she smiled and purred gently.

"We couldn't just leave you out there. This is your home now"

Simba looked at his children. "Being brave doesn't mean that you go looking for trouble," he said, remembering what his father had told him so long ago.

"But you and mom aren't scared of anything or anyone or any place." Kopa said. "Yeah." Kiara agreed.

Simba looked at them. "I was scared today," he said.

Kovu and Vitani thought about that word, Home. Pride rock certainly felt like home to them.

Meanwhile Damon and Mikaila had entered the pride lands.
