Zira sneered once more, she had every right, by how this cub acted, to kick him and his friend out, son of Leo or not. But there was something in the spunk that impressed her too, and...well after losing Kovu and Vitani, perhaps they needed new members.

"Just remember, you are under mine and Scar's orders" she said as she allowed them passage.

Damon said nothing as he just nodded before he and Makaila were on their way.

Kovu and Vitani climbed pride rock, heading all the way to the top. "Wow, you can see everything from here." Kovu said in awe. "YeahIt's beutiful too." Vitani added.

Nala chuckled as she followed the cubs to the top of Pride rock.

"It is, isn't it little ones, now where are Kiara and Kopa? They need speaking to" Nala said, looking behind her, then back to Vitani and Kovu.

Simba walked over. "Yes, Nala, it is time for that talk. They need it. At the moment, I'm thinking of the talk my father gave me," he said.

Nala nodded in agreement. Looking down at Vitani and Kovu though she felt they should go a little easier on them. She looked up at Simba.

"Though if it weren't for them running off, we wouldn't have been able to save these two from Zira"

Simba rubbed his head under Nala's chin. "You know, I wonder what happened to make Zira into the lioness that she is now," he said, thinking about it.

Nala purred as Simba did this, but was then lost deep in thought. She too had wondered this on many occasions. But she knew what it boiled down to in the end.

"Hate" She muttered.

Simba shook his head. "There's more too it. One doesn't simply wake up filled with violence and hate," he said.

Nala sighed.

"She has no reason to hold on to so much anger and hate. She was given the choice and she chose exile" Nala said, looking out at the pride lands.

As Damon and Makaila wandered off further within the Pride Lands, Nyx watched them, trying to figure out if she should follow or not. She decided she had begun by spying, why not continue. So she followed, but didn't say anything for the moment, just curious what the younger cubs who seemed think themselves entitled to so much of Scar's lands were up to.
