Kennedy March (80km or 50 miles)

Postby Woeler » April 6th, 2012, 8:05 pm

In a few hours I will take part in a walk that is organized every year in honor of JFK. He once said that every young male should be able to walk 50 miles within 20 hours. So thats what I'm gonna do tomorrow. I will keep you up to date (forgive me for doubleposting if it happens). I may post some pictures too. (maybe my feet before and after xd)

This is the route

Your feet are definitely going to be sore. :P

The most I've ever walked in one day was 10 miles, and that was quite the experience.

Thank you, it is fun actually. It is a physical challange until you reach 50 kilometers, everybody has pain and is exhausted at 50km. Then it becomes a mental challange, can you keep on going eventhough it hurts like hell? In the end it's not the muscles or strength that get you over the finish but it is the will to keep on going.

And really? They dont have anything similar in Greece?

Lol, I know what the pain feels like. And often, it hurts more in the middle than at the end when you are just numb, and the fact that the end is near gives you wings.

Good luck, Woeler! Tell me how it goes!

(Wish I was able to do the same)
