When You Need To Move On (DGFone and VitanisMate)

Frank shook his head. "I already tried letting you off once," he told them, "and you blew it. I have to get you two back now anyways." He didn't feel like arguing, so he motioned for them back to Priderock.

Vitani frowned. "Aw, come on, Frank, do you have to tell?" She asked.

Frank sighed. "Me? Maybe not. But Zazu will," he answered them, "and if Zazu won't, I will. So either way, someone will tell."

Zazu then said, "If you come back with us now I 'might' reason with your father to give you 2 weeks grounded in the cave instead of two months." Kopa frowned but just nodded.

As they were walking back Kopa said to Vitani, "Well it was nice playing with ya. I won't be able to do anything for two weeks."

Zazu then whispered to Frank, "Thank you for your help. I know to you the cubs are dufficult but trust me to me these cubs are somewhat easier than Kopa's parents."

Vitani just shrugged. "It was worth it, Kopa," she said, grinning, "besides, we'll think of something." Two weeks of not being able to do anything seemed like a long time, but she was certain that they will find something to do in while they would wait.

Frank looked at Kopa and Vitani and then back at Zazu. "So if Simba and Nala were worse... how did you survive?" he asked. Zazu had enough trouble just catching up to Kopa and Vitani with help, so Frank had a hard time imagining Zazu staying sane while having to look after two cubs who were even worse, alone.

Simba suddenly said to Nala, "Hmmm I see Frank is bringing back Kopa to us. That's a good thing."

Zazu did a little laugh, "To tell you the truth I don't know how I survived." He then said to Simba and Nala, "Your majesty Kopa was again caught going outside the Pridelands even though you told him to remain in the cave. Simba shook his head, "See the reward I ge3t for being easy on Kopa?" he said to Nala.

Frank followed Zazu and the cubs to the den, and waited behind them, but didn't say anything for now. He would speak up if he was asked anything, but for right now, he was content to just wait and watch.

Nala looked down at Kopa and Vitani. Both of them looked guilty, and stared back with pleading eyes. As much as she hated the idea of punishing them, if she didn't do anything, they would never learn, and could easily get hurt. Sighing, she looked at Kopa. "You know fully well that we told you to stay in the den," she told him, "why did you leave? And why did you think that leaving the Pridelands would be a good idea?" She looked at them, waiting for a reply that didn't come. "Kopa," she said gently, forcing her to hide her disappointment, "you know we care for you. Simba and I both love you and it hurts us deeply to have to punish you. But it's for your own good. So do you have anything to say?"

Kopa put his head down and sighed, "No mom. I was just...bored and I..." He then said in an angry voice, "I didn't get hurt! I just wanted to have fun! I'm not a baby!" He then walked away in defiance and went to the den. Zazu said, "Oh my..." Kopa didn't say anything and simply put his head down angry at his parents for making such a big deal about one peek outside the Pridelands.

Meanwhile the mean cub's father poked Frank in the shoulder and motioned him away from the others. "I see you got Kopa in trouble and made his life miserable. I like that quality in a lion. How about we both help eachother out? Get Kopa in more trouble and I can give you whatever you want friend."

Vitani quickly followed Kopa, ignoring his parents. "Kopa?" she asked quietly, watching him carefully. "Kopa, it's me..."

Back outside, Nala felt hurt by Kopa's outburst. She knew that he would hate being punished, but something had to be done. She looked over at Simba, seeing that he was also hurt. "Simba," she said gently, "let me try and talk to him first... and then I'll let you talk to him." She looked at the den where Kopa had disappeared to. "Let's give him some time alone, and then try to approach him."

Frank turned his head towards the lion, forcing down the anger he suddenly felt. "You have no idea what I want," he said coldly, referring to wanting to get back to the human world which he understood and belonged to. "You can't even begin to imagine. So stay away."

Kopa sighed as Vitani entered, "I'm sorry you had to see that Vitani but my parents don't understand. I can take care of myself. I don't need to be coddled."

Simba sighed and said, "I hope you know what you're doing. I don't know what to do with the boy." Zazu tried to cheer them up, "Oh your Majesty lighten up. Kopa may not listen but does not that sound like two other lion cubs who did the same thing when they were younger who went to the Elephant Graveyard? Your father told me the same thing you did now and I gave him the same advice. Once Kopa gets older he'll be wiser."

The mean cub's father laughed, "Perhaps you'd like to put your teeth where your mouth is. Think about it. Kopa would finally be out of your hair."

Vitani grinned as she sat down next to Kopa. "I'm still here, aren't I?" she asked, "I understand." She looked quickly at the entrance of the den to make sure that they were alone before looking back at Kopa. "And hey, aren't you the future king? Just tell your parents that you know what you're doing... that you're practicing for the future or something. How about that?"

Nala couldn't help but laugh at Zazu's reminder of how she and Simba were as cubs. "Well, yes, that is true, we were harsh," she said, "even now I sometimes wonder how our parents survived taking care of us, and yet here we are, wondering the same thing about Kopa..." She looked at Zazu fondly. "Thank you, Zazu. That was actually surprisingly helpful."

Frank growled threateningly. "If I had my way, I wouldn't even know who Kopa is. Don't even try starting with me, because you don't know what you're dealing with." He glared at the lion, wishing both to be left alone, and for once, looking forward to a fight.

Kopa smiled at what Vitani said, "Yeah I am the future king so I should be able to do anything my father can do." He then paused and said nervously, "Uh when I do become king where does that leave you Vitani?"

Simba also smiled, "Yes thank you Zazu." Zazu did a bow, "No problem your Majesty."

The mean cub's father simply laughed and pushed him out of the way. "My offer is still open of course but not for long. You just better know for sure wwhose side you are on and whose side is going to win moron."
