-What if hyenas had killed the kids at elephant's graveyard
-What if Simba had not listened to Scar but stayed at Prideland instead
-What if Timon and Pumbaa had not found Simba
-What if Simba and Nala had not been met as adults

What if hyenas had killed the kids at elephant's graveyard? If the hyenas had killed Simba and Nala, the Pridelands would be very mournful, and Mufasa would be really angry (and sad) causing him to exile all the hyenas from the Pridelands. For Scar, he would be very happy, and set his sights on Mufasa.

What if Simba had not listened to Scar but stayed at Prideland instead? I'm kind of confused by your question because Scar told Simba to promise that to not go to the Elephant Graveyard in the film. If Simba did not listen to him, he would go to the Elephant Graveyard much like he did in the film.

What if Timon and Pumbaa had not found Simba? Simba would have died, and Scar's successor, Kovu, would be the next in line for the throne of the Pride Lands.

What if Simba and Nala had not been met as adults? Simba would have stayed in the jungle with Timon and Pumbaa, and not known what had occurred in the Pride Lands. Also, it is possible that Rafiki could find Simba, and tell him to return to the Pride Lands.

What if Simba had insisted on not going back to Prideland? Simba would still live in the jungle, and never become king. As for Nala, she would leave him heartbroken, and go find another male lion to challenge Scar.

What if Scar had not betrayed the hyenas? Pretty good question. Simba would have defeated Scar in their fight, and it would be left to Scar on whether he would challenge Simba again or "run away and never return". Most likely, Scar would challenge Simba again, and Simba would have to kill him. Anyway, a good topic for fanfiction.

What if Scar had not told Simba the truth about Mufasa's death? If Scar didn't reveal that he murdered Mufasa, he would throw Simba into the fire, and Simba would die thus all hopes of ending Scar's reign would be all for naught. To preserve his throne, Scar would implement more hyena reinforcement and restrictions in order to prevent the lionesses from getting another lion to challenge him. Also, another good what-if I must say.

-What if hyenas had killed the kids at elephant's graveyard
*Now that I think of it, it would've ruined Scar's plan to be king. Simba would be dead but Mufasa, still suspicious of Scar and his connection to the hyenas, would have probably exiled him. Remember, Simba was key to getting rid of Mufasa. It's actually a bit of a paradox.
-What if Simba had not listened to Scar but stayed at Prideland instead
*Not sure if he could. You know kids usually do what they're told :D Seriously though, I really don't know.
-What if Timon and Pumbaa had not found Simba
*Those vultures sure looked hungry...that is all.
-What if Simba and Nala had not been met as adults
*Simba would've stayed in the jungle for the rest of his life. Maybe Nala does find more food but in the end, I think everyone starves.
-What if Simba had insisted on not going back to Prideland
*Same as above really. Those questions yield the same response.
-What if Scar had not betrayed the hyenas
*The battle would've gone longer and at the very least, Scar would have been able to hang on a bit longer.
-What if Scar had not told Simba the truth about Mufasa's death
*Simba would've still defeated Scar but the guilt would have eaten him up in the end. It also probably makes him a very weak King due to that.

-What if hyenas had killed the kids at elephant's graveyard
For Scar: one down, one to go  Hah, but the question is would he still go after Mufasa or just wait (since he was first in line after his brother) I think he'd still most likely try and get Mufasa out of the picture anyway (kings forbid he might have another cub at some point :p) Might be harder with Simba out of the picture, though. I also don't see how Mufasa could have connected Scar with that first plot, he didn't know he told Simba what was out there in that shadowy place.

-What if Simba had not listened to Scar but stayed at Prideland instead
Interesting...Scar still could have taken the throne because Simba was too young at the time. I actually saw a fan art like this recently, where Scar keeps Simba around and raises him as his own (but I don't see that happening for real lol, seems too out of character)

-What if Timon and Pumbaa had not found Simba
The vultures would have had themselves a cub sandwich :ed:

-What if Simba and Nala had not been met as adults
I think Rafiki still would have found Simba nonetheless, but then we'd be lacking in what may be the most beautiful part of the movie.

-What if Simba had insisted on not going back to Prideland
Hakuna Matata forever baby...oh and I'm sure Nala would have been a little more than ticked off. :nuuuhhgirlfriend:

-What if Scar had not betrayed the hyenas
Now that is an interesting what if...battle could have lasted longer, but part of me thinks Scar might have taken up the offer to run after being thrown off the cliff, and now with all the lionesses against him too (especially if the hyenas were loosing the fight) He was trying to run at first anyway (after he told Simba the truth and got pwned, he was trying to slink away before he got cornered on top of pride rock) Scar's a schemer not a fighter, physically he's got the disadvantage. Thus the embers in the eyes, guess he figured if he disabled Simba he'd stand a chance at winning. :p

-What if Scar had not told Simba the truth about Mufasa's death
There lies the fault of so many villains, telling their secret/plan/etc...Scar could have won, or Simba could have found the strength to overcome it by thinking about the ones that still needed him, Sarabi and Nala in particular. But it would have done nothing for his guilt and nightmares. :(

-What if Mufasa had arrived one minute later at Scar's cave
...Wellll...let's just say I don't think we'd have Zazu around to annoy (or save) Simba and Nala.

-What if Mufasa had survived the fall
Simba would be very happy and never have to suffer through all he did. Scar would have been in some extremely serious trouble, punishment by exile at least I'm sure.

-What if Scar had escaped the angry hyenas
Having no one left on his side, I think he'd run. I think he'd be smarter than to try and fight a pride of angry lions and a clan of betrayed hyenas. Would he try and come back/seek revenge after the fact? I dunno...he'd need new allies, that's for sure.

These are fun, keep 'em coming :cheese:

-What if hyenas had killed the kids at elephant's graveyard
Scar would have waited until everyone would calm down, and then finish Mufasa off and take the throne. Due to his bad ruling, the Pridelands suffer, and without Simba to reclaim a throne nor Nala to find help, most if not all of the Pride and Hyenas die from starvation and chaos that comes from the hard times.

-What if Simba had not listened to Scar but stayed at Prideland instead
He would have been found by someone else, taken back to Priderock, and interrogated until everyone realize that the stampede wasn't his fault. Scar is quickly looked upon with suspicion for trying to exile Simba, and is run off the Pridelands.

-What if Timon and Pumbaa had not found Simba
Simba dies, and Nala doesn't find any help. Scar's bad ruling, the Pridelands suffer, and without Simba to reclaim a throne nor Nala to find help, most if not all of the Pride and Hyenas die from starvation and chaos that comes from the hard times.

-What if Simba and Nala had not been met as adults
Simba doesn't die, but other than that, same as above. Timon and Pumbaa become Nala food?

-What if Simba had insisted on not going back to Pridelands
Same as previous two situations.

-What if Scar had not betrayed the hyenas
Scar either dies from the fire or escapes, but the hyenas still run off after they see that their king has abandoned them. Simba is able to retake the throne.

-What if Scar had not told Simba the truth about Mufasa's death
Simba is still forced to fight Scar in order to save the Pridelands, and only comes to accept his innocence through a long and painful time period.

Interesting questions.

What if the hyenas had killed the cubs at the Elephant Graveyard? This one may be the most complex. Scar would have lost his bait for trapping Mufasa since he wasn't strong enough to challenge him directly. If Mufasa was grief stricken enough for it to cloud his judgement, Scar may have used it as an excuse to make his move for the throne. If Mufasa kept himself together, he and Sarabi were still young enough to have another cub to be heir to the throne, and Scar would have either been thwarted entirely, or would have to develop an new scheme.

What if Simba had not listened to Scar but stayed in the Pridelands? A bit of a moot question. He didn't leave just because of Scar's words, but also to avoid being eaten by the hyenas who chased him away.

What if Timon and Pumbaa didn't find Simba? He would have died.

What if Simba and Nala didn't meet as adults? Simba would have lived a carefree live with Timon and Pumbaa never aware of the deteriorating situation in the Pridelands. Nala likely wouldn't have found help and the pride would have eventually died under Scar's oppressive rule.

What if Simba insisted on not going back to the Pridelands? He would have lived in the jungle for the rest of his life. It is possible that Nala may have reluctantly accepted that being Simba's mate in the jungle was a better fate than returning to the mess that Scar had made of the Pridelands, but other than that, the pride would have died the same as if Simba and Nala never met.

What if Scar never betrayed the hyenas? Scar probably would have been banished along with the hyenas, but would have probably lived.

What if Scar had not told Simba the truth about Mufasa's death? Simba wouldn't have found the miraculous strength to jump of the ledge and defeat Scar. The pride again, would have eventually died.
Come death. Come suffering. I will not live in fear. In this fleeting life where time escapes us, the path of least resistance is a slow quiet death. I'd rather burn out than fade away.
