Nyatui crept away from Neo's pride saddened by how they were treated. How can Neo not see how he's treated, that he's being used? he thought to himself. Shrugging he laid down and slept lightly waiting for first light.

Neo lay down sadly hopeing the shadows would concel his soundless tears. He soundless cried until he fell asleep.

Days passed where Nyatui would meet up with Neo and Kovu to train them. Nuka felt left out of this trio of friends, and ended up telling his mother about this adolescent lion. Zira tried to recruit Nyatui, but he refused and in a rage Zira ran him off trying to kill him. Nyatui knew that he couldn't return or else Zira would make do with his promise. A year passed and he grew a mane. Another year passed, and he still stalked the Savannah without a pride and without knowing anything about his friends. He knew that Kovu was now an adult and Zira's plans will come to fruition. He slowly made his way back to them, hoping to intervene before they stopped him.
(hey want to make it so Vitani and Nyatui fall in love? Vitani never knew about him while they trained and so he's this wonderful rogue she knows. Nyatui knows who she is and first got close to her to find out about Neo and Kovu, but ended up falling for her.)
