Scar or Nala for sure. I remember how upset I was when I found out they were adding
"The Morning Report" into the original movie. If they were to add in a song from the musical, Why not
"Shadowland"!? It would have added so much to the plot and so much to Nala's character and story (as well as Scar's) It's the most beautiful and emotional song in the musical...and I guess maybe I just answered my own question. Perhaps
"Shadowland" was simply too
dark for the youngsters...not to mention Scar harassing Nala (but they could have changed that)
"The Morning Report" was fun, but certainly not the musical song I would have chosen.
"The Madness of King Scar" would have been amazing in the movie, too!
I would have loved soo much if they had done a prequel to TLK from Scar's point of view. It would be a bit on the sadder sad--his story doesn't end well, as we all know--but I think it would be interesting enough (if done right) that it would leave people with sympathy and awe for Scar, paralleled with the cruel opinion they have of him in TLK, rather than depression or such. Movies can have sadder endings without making it really depressing or something. It could be a little dark for younger kids, but there are PLENTY of older fans who would really appreciate it, and the younger ones could watch it once they're older.
Yes,
yes...I totally agree. I'm all in support of a pre-equal but somehow I doubt Disney would do it right. I don't think they
want us to feel sympathy for the villains, especially one like Scar who pulls off one of the worst crimes imaginable.

Nonetheless some of us
do and I for one refuse to believe anyone is "born evil". If they would acknowledge that I think we'd have a marvelous story on our hands, perhaps even one to rival the original. I'd love to see the "tale of two brothers", it would answer so many questions.
As for 1/2, I don't take it too seriously...especially the scenes where Timon and Pumbaa show up
everywhere. It's utter nonsense lol! I am a Timon fan so it was cute to see his back story and the scenes with Simba were adorable (but his new cub voice threw me off) The animation and sound was awesome in it, more like the original than SP, but for the most part it's somewhat of a parody of the original.
