" They soon got to Pride rock and Saw Kovu and Makaila playing with their mom's. "Kovu, Makaila, I was wondering if you would want to go to Marshride with me, My Grandfather lives there and I need to meet him." Damon explained. "Sure, but can our moms come?" They asked. "Sure." Damon said sheepishly.

Simba nodded. "Uzuri, Mema, are you all right with coming on this journey? It's very important," he said.

"Of course, We want to make sure our cubs are safe, as well as you, Nala, your daughters and young Damon here." Mema said. "So when do we leave?" Uzuri asked.

Simba looked at them. "I believe that Damon should be the one to make that choice," he said. He looked over at Damon. "Damon, when do you want to leave?" he asked.

"It's too late today, so how about first thing tommarow?" Damon asked.

Simba turned to Nala. "Nala, how does that sound to you?" he asked.

(Part 1)

"Hey Damon, if your grandfather is king of Marshridge, does that make you decended from the 13 on both sides?" Kovu asked Damon. "No, only on my father's side." Damon replied.

"But you said all kings were decended from the 13." Makaila said. Damon shook his head. "I said nearly all royal bloodlines were. Yuna wasn't always king, but it wasn't a Prince either." Damon said as he Sat down.

"You see, the Original royal blood line died out. It happened in the rule of Simba's grandfather, King Ahadi. There was a terrible drought here, but eventaully they got past it. But some animal herds moved to Marshridge. This lead to Over Population and famine, resulting in starvation. In time disease broke out and wiped out the royal family. Without a royal family, the land fell into chaos. So the remaining animals formed a council to goveren the land, establishing a unequal caste system, where your role was decided on which caste you were born into." Damon explained as Kovu and Makaila listioned.

"What happened next?" Makaila asked.

" Time passed. and then Yuna came along. He was born into the Cronicler caste. A caste charged with maintaining Marshride's past, stories, traditions and beliefs. However as Yuna learned more about Marsh Ridge's past, he grew increasingly concerned with the present corruption in high Places; an inequality among the Animals. Yuna became inspired by the words and Ideas of a Gladiator who named himself after one of the 13 original kings, Sparticus. Sparticus vowwed to challange Marshridge's leadership and demand all animals be treated as equals." Damon said.

"This Gladiator turned revolutionary rapidly gained a loyal following. Yuna began corrisponding with Sparticus, who came to be somewhat of a mentor to him. As Sparticus Left the Gladitorial arena for the political, he saw fit to shorten his name. Before long, Sparta appeared before the high council to propose his vision for a just society. It was here he began to show his true colors." Damon said.

Makaila and Kovu leaned in closer.

"Sparta proclaimed the need to over throw the council by force, and arrogently demanded to made the next lion king. But Yuna did not believe in violance as a means of achieving justice and equality." Damon said.

"The hearts and minds of the council were moved by Yuna's words. Here for the first time since Marshridge's golden age stood someone worthy of being king. However without a royal bloodline, Yuna could only truely attain that honor by earning the blessings of Lional and the 13 original kings." Damon said.

"His ambitions twarted, Sparta Spitefully severed all ties to Yuna and the council and came to wage war on all who opossed him through his growing pride of followers he named the conquerers. Sparta vowed to claim the title of lion king with or without the blessings of Lional and the 13. Warfare swept across marshridge like a wildfire, consuming everyone and everything in it's path." The young cub said every one listioned.
