I have a lot of stuff, since I kept all my TLK toys from when I was a kid...of course, they aren't in the best condition since I played with them a lot! Most of my stuff is back at my house (I'm staying somewhere else right now) so I don't have a picture of the large majority of my collection but I do have pictures of what I've collected more recently.

Image
Adult Simba puppet plushie, found him and Dodger there the same day at a thrift store.

Image
The TLK plate was also found at the thrift store the same day I found the above plushies, but the cards are from my oldskool collection. The ones set up there are doubles, I have almost the entire set of cards. :P

Just recently added the Scar and Mufasa "cast members" pin from ebay. Got it super cheap!
"Simba, let me tell you something my father told me. Look at the stars. The great kings of the past look down on us from those stars. So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you. And so will I." ~ Mufasa

Hello there. I have a question about the following toy. I had one of these but it made a squeak sound when you squeezed it on the belly. The seller told me this particular one DOES NOT. However, I remember acquiring it at McDonald's when I was very little. My mom searched at home but she could not find it. It was quite small. But the emotional connection I had to this toy is undescribable. I wish I could find a similar cuddle. I gave it a lot of hugs as a kid :) awww good times. So question: does anybody have an idea where it came from( in case I remember wrong about mcdonalds. ), at all ? It's very important for me to at least buy another one :) God how much i loved it. Thanks in advance and I apologize if this is not the proper thread to ask, but I am new and can't post a new thread :S

Hm...I may be mistaken but I don't think mcdonalds had TLK toys until Simba's pride came out, burger king had the original set of "fast food toys" for the movie (I have most of them) but none of them seem to fit the description. There's a picture of them all here: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QLSsTWE4Lyw/TpuEw0nVaaI/AAAAAAAADzE/XOE99qwDMz4/s1600/lionkingbk2.jpg ( and man oh man does that picture bring back memories! :cutesimba: )

There was also a set of finger puppets from burger king, as seen here: http://images.addoway.com/items/11298/1391944/11298_1_182a97.jpg

The mcdonalds set of Simba's pride toys can be seen here: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51H6FcVPpVL._SL500_AA300_.jpg
There's also a slightly different set (from another country I think) the american line of these toys are the ones I'm familiar with and I don't remember any of them squeaking...but maybe the ones in this set did? See them here: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xzT1aEcekaE/Trely4OOFGI/AAAAAAAAAqU/y8xRFC4aQ2c/s320/SimbasPrideNetherlandsMcD99.jpg

I can't think of any other fast food TLK toys off hand except for the talking pens that came out when 1/2 was released and the Simba figurine from Disney's 100 year celebration or whatnot. When you said it squeaks I automatically thought of the original purring Simba and Nala plushies (my purring Simba squeaks, but that's cause the purr doesn't work right anymore lol) Those were larger though and didn't come from a fast food place...

Hey thanks for your reply. Let me tell you that the one I had looks exactly like the Kiara of either the first or second Mc Donald's set you linked. We need someone to confirm that one of them squeaks :D And yea it should be from Simba's Pride not the original LK.

I think I found the answer...here they both are on ebay, and you can clearly see the differences:

UK Kiara:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/McDonalds-Walt-Disney-The-Lion-King-soft-toy-plush-Kiara-1998-/170804052260?pt=UK_Toys_Creative_Educational_RL&hash=item27c4b70124
* This is a soft toy of Kiara from The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride

* She is from McDonalds, was sold with children’s Happy Meals

* When squeezed she ‘purrs’

* In excellent condition, looks as new

* This is the UK version

American Kiara:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-McDonalds-Lion-King-II-Simbas-Pride-Kiara-the-Lion-Soft-Toy-4-MIP-/280838692015?pt=Fast_Food_Cereal_Premiums&hash=item41634a5caf

I think the one you're looking for is the UK version; there's a good chance the "purr" sounded more like squeak

YES!!!! Wow I can't believe you found it. Looks like there was a european and an american set, because I got mine in Greece at McDonald's :) Now let's hope I win the bidding. I can't find another auction for it :/
