Suddenly, Rafiki arrived. "Everyone, de great kings and queens have given me a message. Dis cub will not be de only one in Simba and Nala's family," he began.

Nala looked at Rafiki and her tongue hung onto the cubs fur as her jaw dropped, "What do you mean?" She said shuddering as she pulled her tongue in.
Sarabi looked at Nala and examined her body, "Nala dear you're pregnant." She said to her knowing exactly what Rafiki meant.

Rafiki stepped closer. "You see, your highness, during your time with Simba in de jungle, you two conceived a cub. Dat means dat you will have to choose one cub to be your heir," he said.

Nala looked at Simba, "Of course we would pick our cub right? I mean the soul heir by blood, not Scar's child right?"
Sarabi looked at Simba, "Before marriage Simba?" She chuckled, "Yes which one will you choose?" She whispered to Simba.

Simba looked at Nala. "Vitani is not Scar's child. She is ours and ours alone. She is a princess of the Pridelands, and thus, she is now in line for the throne. Consider the fact that she is technically our firstborn," he said.

"But Simba, she isn't our flesh and blood, Does she deserve the respect of a princess? Yes. Does she deserve the throne? Yes, but our REAL CUB has it in its blood. We must consider the fact that our child is flesh and blood of you your father your mother and all the kings of the past."
Sarabi looked at Nala as she spoke, then to Simba, "I will leave you two to settle this yourselves."

Simba sighed. "Why don't we wait and see which has the personality more suited to leadership? It will prevent needless arguments," he said.

"Alright, I'd hate to fight at a time like this." Nala nuzzled Simba. "Were having a cub. Oh I hope it's a girl I have the perfect name. If its a boy you can name him." Nala chuckled and then pinned Simba, "What do you want to do first king Simba?" She looked at Vitani, "Are we going to keep her name Vitani?"

Simba smiled. "I think we should keep her name. She's probably already used to hearing it. As for what I want to do, that would be start getting ready for the new cub and getting her and Vitani ready for their presentation ceremony. It's going to take time for the plants to grow back and the herds to return," he said.

"Yes the plants and the herds will take a while. I think Vitani is a cute name, and look her eyes are blue." Nala said getting off of Simbas shoulders and walking over to Vitani and holding her close.
