Moto shrugged. "There shouldn't be. But I can't say for certain if there will be problems or not. So be prepared for... well, anything really." He didn't want to sound like he was giving up already, but he didn't want to make it sound easy either. He hoped that it would be, but if it won't, he didn't like the idea of going there unprepared. "So keep your heads together and stay calm," he added, "and we should get Delano back tomorrow."

He looked over each one of them carefully to make sure that they understood. As his eyes wandered over Kasi, the younger lion smiled a little and nodded. Moto then looked at his daughters. "Umeme?"

Umeme also nodded. "Yeah, I got it, dad. Don't worry about us." She smiled back at him, looking confident.

Moto looked at Lina. She had yet to say or do much. "Lina?" He asked, slightly uncertainly.

Lina simply listened to her father carefully as he spoke, trying to memorize every single word he was saying. From his tone and expression it sounded like this entire thing wasn't be easy, but Lina still believed that there shouldn't be any problem with proving Delano's innocence. She looked at her father and silently nodded. Sure, she had her doubts like everybody else probably had, but she couldn't wait to get this thing over with.

Moto expected Lina to say something, but she didn't. But it didn't look like she wasn't paying attention, so he chose not to press her into talking. "We have a big day tomorrow," he said, "so let's go to sleep now, as it's already late enough. And remember, we're waking up early tomorrow."

He moved over next to his mate after giving both Lina and Umeme a quick nuzzle. "Everything will be alright," he whispered to them, and then lay down next to Fadhili. "Tomorrow out family will be together again," he said, smiling and eyes closed, "I'll wake you all up when it's time. Goodnight."

Lina went ahead and lay down where she and Delano used to sleep at every night. It was hard getting used to sleeping without Delano's warmth next to her, and she didn't feel like she could ever get used to not having him around. But the important thing was that she was going to have him back tomorrow. She let out a sigh and closed her eyes, wanting to get as much sleep as possible before the morning came.

Umeme, who now didn't have Muroki next to her, also found it weird at the fact that he wasn't there. She wasn't worried, though, and knew that it was only for tonight. Eagerly waiting for the next day, she managed to fall asleep.

At the caves, Delano was once again having another nightmare. He didn't know yet that it was once, as he found himself walking outside at night in a heavy rain. Even though he didn't see anything worrying yet, Delano was feeling very uneasy.

He walked some more, eventually coming across a mangled lion's body. He examined it closely, and recoiled in shock when he identified it as Muroki. Looking around, Delano didn't see anything that could have caused this, but he just knew that this was not the worst he would see now.

Next to Delano, Muroki was already asleep as the result of the darkness that surrounded them. Because he was asleep, he failed to notice the fact that his brother was experiencing a nightmare again when his brother began to stir and whimper.

Still in his dream, Delano didn't know why he decided to continue walking, leaving Muroki's body behind, but he did. The rain was making it hard to see very far ahead, but somehow he knew where to go. Delano continued walking until he reached a small ridge, and looked down after climbing to the top.

Right away, he wished that he didn't look. Below him, in a small depression, lay the bodies of everyone else, all just as mangled and broken as Muroki's if not worse. And what's more, is that in the center of it all, in large letters, was a message scratched out into the ground. Delano struggled to read it, being out of practice, but after a long time, he finally got it:

This is only the beginning. There's more to come.
Right as he understood the message, Delano heard a loud, shrill screaming laughter in the distance.

Delano woke up immediately, almost screaming out himself in fright. He quickly separated himself from Muroki and crawled over to an edge of the the cave, where he began crying again quietly, trying to forget what he had just seen and heard.

If Delano's sort-of-a-scream wasn't enough to wake Muroki up, then the way Delano suddenly separated himself from Muroki woke him up alright. It took him a few moments to get his bearings, but he soon noticed that his brother was not next to him and he heard him crying a few feet away from him. Obviously he had another nightmare. Muroki sighed and slowly crawled over, again pulling Delano into an embrace in an attempt to calm him down.

When Muroki came over, Delano at first shied away, feeling to scared and lost to want to get comforted by his brother. He tried crawling away, but discovered that he was stuck in between the cave wall and Muroki. Unable to move away, Delano gave in and placed his head next on the ground next to Muroki, his body still shaking as he failed to stop his crying.

Even in Muroki's embrace, Delano did not feel any better, for the darkness around him felt like it was going to collapse on him, making the fear from the nightmare only worse. He didn't recall feeling so alone before. "I want to die," he whispered, finding a voice to all of his feelings, "I want it all to end... please kill me... make it stop..." He grabbed onto Muroki firmly. "Do it for me, please... end it right now..."

Muroki for a while continued to lie there beside his brother and hold him close, hoping that it was bringing him at least some sort of comfort. He couldn't believe what he was hearing when Delano finally spoke, or in other words it was what he feared to hear the most. "Don't talk nonsense." of course that he wasn't going to kill Delano, not matter how he begged and how miserable he sounded. Tomorrow they will get him out and this whole thing will be over.
