You really shouldn't feel bad, I'm sure everyone will understand given the circumstances. It's not like you left for no reason.

I'm so sorry for what happened. :( I don't even know you, but I'm willing to talk to you on my MSN if you need to (link in profile)
Honestly, anyone who can hold a grudge against you after what you've been through is a heartless asshole.

I'm sorry to hear about that. I'm also sorry to hear about your other family tragedies.

And to think you're only 14.[/quote]

in 2000, the estimated world population was 6,083,550,220.

in 2000, 209,000 people around the world died from leukemia.

Therefore, approximately 0.0034% of the world population died from leukemia.

According to the 2000 US census, the American population was 281,421,906.

2,819 lost their lives in the 9/11 attack.

Therefore, the percentage of Americans who died in 9/11 is 0.0010%.

The theoretical statistical probability of any one person dieing from both events is the product of the two, which is (3.4x10^-8)%. That corresponds to one in 2.94 billion. That's 2,940,000,000.

Of course, the probability is going to be somewhat lower taking other family members into consideration, but I've already convinced myself that this really hasn't happened, without even needing to consider your Dad dying in Iraq, and your brother dying in a ski accident. The statistical probability is just too ridiculously low. I'll believe cows can fly before I believe all of the above is actually true.

Wow. Thanks for that. And you're partially right. Sometimes I don't believe it myself. But you're still wrong about that.

(1. My father was a proud marine who was killed in the line of duty in 2005, and statistics won't bring him back.

2. My stepfather died years ago shortly after his and my mother's marriage. The problem with your logic is that there is no constant. A factor you forgot to include is the fact he was a fireman in the area. The statistics were pretty high then.

3. When your brother hits his head on a slope and bleeds out in the snow, get back to me.

4. Cases of leukemia are common in my family. Other relatives on my father's side have been diagnosed. Facts aren't everything.)

Now please, I don't want to argue with you when your only argument is statistics, or even argue with you at all.

Also,
