Umeme thought about it before shaking her head. "Nah, he said Delano's fine," she replied, "and he didn't look worried, so Delano is fine. At least, I think he is." She still found it slightly odd how Muroki chose to stay with Delano at such an important time, but she figured that he knew better than her on what would be appropriate to do.

Lina said nothing else. One thing for sure was that she couldn't wait to finally get Delano out tomorrow and get this whole thing over with. Muroki went ahead and headed back towards the police tunnels and then straight back to his brother. "Hey, I'm back." he said, lying down next to his brother. "I hope I wasn't away for too long." he knew that he was gone for maybe 10 minutes, but for Delano it must have felt like eternity.

Delano didn't even acknowledge that Muroki came back. In the short while that Muroki was gone, he was already woken up from his sleep from another nightmare. But this one shook him up so much that all he did was lie on the ground, shivering from fear and staring into the blackness in front of him until Muroki came back.

After a while, Delano finally placed his head on Muroki, trying to calm himself down. He normally would have commented how he was glad that Muroki came back, but the thought didn't even come to him now.

When Delano didn't answer back, Muroki thought that his brother was asleep. Sure there was the way he was shivering and breathing heavily, but Muroki thought that he was probably having another nightmare. Still, he didn't try waking him up, because as restless as his sleep might be he still needed it. When Delano placed his head on him Muroki was sure that he's brother was awake, still though he decided not to say anything, since Delano would obviously not enjoy talking about his nightmares again.

For a long time, Delano just sat with his head on Muroki, breathing quickly and shallowly, his mind mostly blank. After a while, he finally found some of his voice back. "How... how are they?" he whispered, before quickly falling silent again. He did't know why, but saying those few words seemed to take all of his energy.

Muroki continued lying silently without saying anything until Delano talk. "Who?" after a few seconds he realized that Delano was talking about the others back home, but he figured that his brother was probably eager to hear about how Lina was the most. "Lina's alright, concerned about you and eager to see you like she' has ever since you were taken."

Delano nodded eventually, still too scared to say much. He wanted to start talking again, do something to help pass the time until they will be able to get out, but his voice was gone, and he didn't have the will to force anything out. He lay his head back on Muroki and crawled over closer to his brother, trying to hide from the darkness.

Despite knowing that he and his brother were in a prison cave, Muroki found out that the darkness was making him feel rather sleepy, or maybe it was just starting to get late. Maybe it was both, but he couldn't tell. He wanted to be awake in case his brother suddenly said anything else, it didn't take him too long to fall asleep with Delano as a source of warmth.

Delano wasn't able to tell that Muroki had fallen asleep, as he was busy trying not to do the same. By now it seemed like he was constantly falling asleep only to wake up again very quickly, and it didn't help that he was severely lacking in sleep, which was why he was so drowsy now.

Unable to keep his eyes open, Delano fell asleep as well, once again dreading the inevitable waking up from a nightmare.

Muroki eventually woke up. For a moment he considered that it might be morning already, but he was feeling too tired in order for that to be true. Considering that he felt as if he hadn't slept at all, there was no way that it was morning already. Also, the guards would take him and Delano to the trial once the morning arrive, so it's not like they were at risk of missing it.
