Delano began to panic again when Muroki informed him that he would have to wait again. "But I don't know if I can!" he said, "I just... I can't stay here. Not alone in this darkness. I had too much... Please. You have to get me out of here!" He didn't really know what Muroki would be able to do, but he really wasn't looking forward to spending another night alone.

Muroki sighed. He really did wish that there was something he could do to make things easier for his brother, but he doubted there was. "I can't get you out now, only tomorrow." it was almost painful to hear the plea in his brother's voice. Suddenly though, Muroki got an idea. "Well, I might not be able to get you out now, but there's no reason to why I shouldn't stay with you until the trial tomorrow."

Delano was about to give up and ask Muroki to just leave when his brother gave his other suggestion. Right away, he lifted his head, feeling his hopes rise again. "You'll really do that?" he asked, "you'll stay here?.." If Muroki would stay with him, he will be able to stand the darkness much better. Feeling relieved, Delano pushed himself closer to Muroki so that he can give him a hug.

Muroki chuckled, "I don't see any reason to why not." he admitted, finding himself having a hard time breathing despite the fact that Delano was only hugging him with one leg. "Maybe I should tell everybody else that I'm here though... They might get worried." then again, for that he'll have to get up and leave Delano on his own, even if it will be for a very short amount of time.

Delano hated the thought of being left alone, but it was either have Muroki leave to tell everyone what he was doing, or to try and wait out another night alone. He hated both alternatives, but knew that he had to pick one. "Alright, go and tell them," he said, letting go of Muroki o that he can leave. "Please come back soon," he pleaded though, "I... I won't be able to stay here long without you..." He lay his head on the ground, preparing to wait out Muroki's absence. "Come back soon," he repeated quietly.

Muroki nodded and left with the intention of coming back as fast as he could. He immediately headed towards the den, hoping that no one will have a problem with what he was about to do even though he doubted any protests would occur. Even if they would occur, Muroki hated himself whenever he had to leave Delano for whatever reason, and if Delano was able to deal with it until now, then everybody else will be able to handle a single night in which Muroki wouldn't be there.

Delano felt Muroki get up and leave, and right away felt the loneliness return. He wanted to distract himself by doing anything at all, but when he tried getting up to move, his broken leg sent a wave of pain that forced him to lie back down on the cave floor. And despite his fear of sleep, Delano's exhaustion was too much, so without anything better to do, he closed his eyes and slowly fell asleep, hoping that for once, he won't wake up to another nightmare.

Muroki left the tunnel and headed back towards the den, wanting to tell everybody else and to get back to Delano's side as soon as possible so that he'll end up spending as little time on his own as possible. He arrived at the den where he found Umeme and Lina sitting and talking outside. "Hey..." he said, approaching them and sitting down in front of them. "Delano's alright... Listen, Umeme, you wouldn't mind if I stayed with him tonight would you? It's just that he won't be able to handle being there on his own for much longer..."

Umeme was talking with Lina when they spotted Muroki running towards them. She looked up eagerly at him, eager for the news, only to have that eagerness turn into confusion and a slight disappointment. "Well, alright," she said, "you can go. We'll be fine." Almost right away, Muroki got up and left them again.

She looked over at Lina, feeling slightly uneasy. "Well, it does mean that he will be with Delano next time we see him," she said.

Lina looked slightly worried at Muroki's request. She hasn't seen Delano since he was taken away, and now she didn't know whether he was okay or not. "Do you think he's hurt?" she asked as Muroki stalked off. If Muroki wouldn't have advised her otherwise she would have already checked up on him herself. Hurt or not, she trusted Muroki to keep an eye on him, even though she would prefer to be able to do it herself.
