Dining out with Timon and Pumbaa

Dining out with Timon and Pumbaa

Postby MWIN » July 27th, 2010, 2:45 pm

Anyone else watched this series of episodes in the life of Timon and Pumbaa?

Probably the most memorable part for me was that Rendition of 'Love in my Tummy' called 'Bugs in my Tummy'.

Oh and the French guy as well.

I don’t think I’ve seen that, although I used to watch the show on Disney Hour Sunday mornings, lol.

I have watched/listened to the song "yummy, yummy, yummy I got bugs in my tummy," on YouTube though. It’s cute. :cutesimba:

I think the video was pretty much a few episodes from that show.

This video was part of a series of 3 Timon and Pumbaa volumes released in the UK and other European countries, along with other countries like Japan only. The other 2 were On Holiday with Timon and Pumbaa (I'd call it "On Vacation with Timon and Pumbaa", and Around the World with Timon and Pumbaa. Around the World actually had a plot, and was 70 minutes long, while Dining Out and On Vacation were 1 hour long.In Around the World, Pumbaa loses his memory after getting struck by lightning. Timon tries to help Pumbaa remember. I've seen it on YouTube. My favorite part of one episode, Brazil Nuts, was when "Fat" Timon showed up. He had screentime for about 1 minute and 34 seconds. In fact, "Fat" Timon is my avatar. Anyway, Around the World had the Stand by Me song.
EDIT: I also saw the one about the flying squirrel trying to fall in love with her boyfriend, and Never Everglades, Pumbaa Junior's episode, which are both in the film. I saw Brazil Nuts prior before I saw Around the World, maybe months before. A funny part in Bora Bora is:
Timon: (Comes out in ski clothes) HEY! Jingle Bells! Jingle Bells! Jingle all the way!
Pumbaa: Oh what fun it is to ride...
Timon: In a one horse open sleigh!

I have seen Yummy Yummy Yummy before. Heck, it even played on Playhouse Disney on Radio Disney before it was changed to Radio Disney Junior! I have listened to this Radio Disney when I was bored, and this was the first time I heard the Timon and Pumbaa version of Yummy Yummy Yummy.

I saw that episode that you talked about before, French Fried.
My favorite line had to be:
Timon:We're in France, where snails are considered a delicacy!

I remember they also did their own music videos of "Stand By Me". (Poor Pumbaa, he kept getting all the bad luck!) And "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" (Great appearance by Simba!)
I am also a big fan of: Phantom of the Opera, High School Musical, Harry Potter, Disney in general, Days of Our Lives, musicals in general, Dr. Seuss in general and the Grinch.
