Umeme saw Lina tense slightly, and knew what her sister wanted. "Yeah, well don't kill him," she said, grinning, "he will still need to be able to breath after you're through with him." She chuckled again before calming down. The next two days would be very hard on Lina, now that she knows that Delano will be out then.

Moto was surprised to hear Muroki's answer. "And what gave you that idea? If we were over-protective, we would never have left them." He smiled. "If anything, I am, rather glad that she found you and not someone else. I know you will be able to good care of her." By this time, Kasi and his parents had made his way over to them, and Moto turned to greet them.

Kasi ran over to Muroki, smiling. "Hey, we're back!" he said, "Mom needed a check-up, so dad and I went with her. It was far though, so that's why it took us so long." Not realizing that anything was wrong, he asked, "so what did we miss?"

Lina chuckled, "Oh, he'll be fine." while the two upcoming days really were going to be hard for her, Lina knew that it was going to be better compared to how it would turn out if she didn't know that she was going to have Delano back when those two days ended. But now, knowing that he'll be back with her soon, she was feeling happier than ever.

Muroki smiled as his cousin came over. It has been a long time since what happened to Kasi's mother, but they still went to get a check-up for her every once in a while. What for, Muroki had no idea, since it was already clear that Laini wasn't dying or anything. Maybe it was as to whether she'll be able to have cubs again or not, but Muroki doubted whether any healer would be able to determine that. It looked like the only ones who could find out where Kasi's parents themselves. "Well, now that you mention it..." he paused for a moment before giving his cousin a quick version of everything that has happened, making sure to drop the fact that Moto was actually responsible.

Umeme eyed Lina. "Yeah, with you like this now? I will pray for his life," she joked, "because I don't think anyone will be able to prepare him for your onslaught." She smiled then, showing that she won't stop Lina from getting Delano back. "I will be watching you two," she said, "and I think Muroki will as well. We will allow you to hug him to death... up to a certain point."

Kasi did not expect to be told that Delano was arrested. After Delano came back, he thought that the entire mess was over. "But he will be back, though, right?" He asked, "In two days?" He felt bad for not being able to help them, and for being gone while he might have been needed. "You know, as your cousin, I would love to help..." he said, "is there a way that I could?"

Next to them, Moto was busy explaining in greater detail his plan to get Delano out to Kasi's parents. Unlike Muroki, they knew more about how the general police operated to understand more.

Lina chuckled once more, "You better." she would give anything if that would mean getting Delano back right away, but she knew that getting him back in two days was the case and that it was obviously better than never getting him back at all. She wanted to tell her sister just how excited she was feeling at the moment, but she knew that she wouldn't be able to put it into words.

Muroki nodded, "Of course he'll be back, we're not leaving him there." he tried to think of a way Kasi could help and remembered that in two days they'll be defending Delano in that trial in order to get him out. "Well, they're going to make some sort of judgement in two days... We need to be there to defend him. Moto doubts it would be hard because they don't really have anything against him, they only arrested him based on rumors of some lion, they were never told about him in particular. I'd guess they thought it was him because he left the police so suddenly, but that's no proof."

Umeme laughed, and Lina laughed with her. She even surprised herself, because with the latest stress, she almost forgot how good it felt to laugh freely. "You know, it might be funny if you played some sort of trick on him," she commented, "but I doubt you will wait long enough to do so... I think we'll just let you lose."

Kasi's hoped lifted when Muroki shared the plan on how to get Delano out. "So I can try and help out with the defending, right?" He asked eagerly, "because the more lions we can get to defend him, the better." He thought about it some more. "And if we, my parents and I, speak for him, it will mean even more, because mom was attacked and all, so the last thing she would do is defend someone who tried to kill her." He looked at Muroki, eager for an answer, "What do you think?"

Lina smiled, "I usually do play tricks on him... It's fun to sometime just break into a run and hide from him you know?" but the first thing she wanted to do was catch up on all the time they could have spent together if it weren't for the police arresting him. "I mean, I never watch you and Muroki 'socialize', but you know what I'm talking about right?"

Muroki nodded, smiling at his cousin, "That's exactly what I was thinking." he knew that the police had records of everything that happened related to the underworld and the pride, so they probably knew of what happened to Kasi's mother. Her coming to defend Delano can be even more effective considering that she was a victim of an attack not to mention the horrible results of that attack. He doubted that Kasi's parents would have a problem with coming to help defend Delano, since he was their nephew after all.

Umeme nodded. "I know exactly what you're talking about," she said, grinning, "I once jumped up a tree in order to lose him, and he... didn't exactly like it when I jumped back down. Right on his back." She looked over at Lina. "So you're planning to do anything like that once you get Delano back?"

Kasi grinned back at Muroki slightly. "Yeah, Delano will be released. There's no way he will be convicted. Not with us." He frowned a little then. "I think I now know why your parents chose to live away from this place," he said, "more freedom, don't have to worry about such mistakes..." He was about to say some more things, possibly making Muroki feel bad, but Moto popped up behind them at that instant.

"Come on, you two. It's getting late, and tomorrow will be a busy day if we want to prepare properly for getting Delano out," Moto said, "so let's get into the den and get a good night's sleep."

Lina chuckled as she thought about it. "That might be fun. But maybe a little too mean..." she looked back at her sister, deciding to ask her something she's been wondering about for a while now. "You know, it's weird to look at you two as mates." she said, chuckling once more. "So, now that you two are mates, did you, uh, you know..." she then realized that she shouldn't be asking such questions. "Oh, I'm sorry, never mind that..." it's just that ever since she could remember herself her sister was her best friend, and they always told each other everything. But this was obviously something she should question Umeme about.

What Kasi said actually made Muroki think. He never paid much thought to why did his parents decide to leave in the middle of no where, but now after hearing what Kasi said, he realized that what his cousin was saying made sense. Maybe that really was the reason. "It might be." he couldn't know for sure though, and he probably never would. Then again, his aunt might now, but now wasn't the right time to ask her. Muroki shrugged to himself and got up in order to walk back inside.

Umeme blushed, knowing what Lina was alluding to. "No, it's alright. And, well, no, not yet," she answered, "we're taking things slowly." She feel quite as she blushed some more. "But what about you two?" She finally asked. "I know you and Delano are not mates yet, but it's hard to hide the fact that it's only a matter of time before he asks you." She heard noise coming from outside just in time to see Kasi and Muroki walk inside the den.

Getting up, Umeme moved over to Muroki, nuzzling him happily and nodding in greeting at Kasi. "So how did things go?" She asked him.

Back outside, Moto remained with Dakari and Laini. Another reason why he ushered Muroki and Kasi inside is because he wanted to talk to Kasi's parents alone. He eyes Fadhili slightly, but he trusted his mate enough to allow her to say outside as well. "There was something else I found out today," he said, and began telling them about how he discovered that he was responsible for getting Delano arrested, and about the small chance that they might not be able to free him. "I thought you should know," he said softly when he finished, feeling ashamed.

Lina was still feeling a bit bad about asking Umeme such a personal question. "Well, no, we didn't get there yet either..." she was about to say something else when Muroki and Kasi walked inside.

Muroki returned his mate's nuzzle with a smile. "Well, Kasi and his parents came back after taking Laini for a check up. They'll help us defend Delano during the trial."

Kasi's parents and Fadhili were just as surprised as Muroki was when he heard the same thing if not more surprised. However, from the way he put it, it really did sound the whole thing was just a misunderstanding. It was Fadhili who broke the silent. "It's okay," she started, heading over to him and giving him a reassuring nuzzle. "The important thing is to get him out."
