Pokemon + Nobunga's Ambition

So Ninteno is releasing a crossover between Pokemon and a game series named Nobunga's Ambition for DS. I thought they stopped making DS games but apparently not.

I don't know much about Nobunga but apparently it's full of famous Japanese samurai [I believe that's what they are] characters from Japanese history, and in this Pokemon crossover game you play as a male or female and start with an Eevee.

The official art shows a bunch of the characters with their partners, such as Mewtwo, Groudon, Zekrom, Jigglypuff and many others. I don't know much about it but I think it sounds like a terrible idea. Probably a good idea to google it for a better description.

A new Pokemon game for DS? Awesome! I look foward to it's release. Never heard of Nobunga though.

Looks... interesting, but way too anime-styled. Far too much for me to want the game. Maybe this will float some people's boats but I don't know if this is going to be a popular game.

There are mixed opinions on whether it looks good on tumblr too, but i'm with La'vie, it looks kinda ridiculous and the trailer does too.

The gameplay looks sorta like PKMN ranger but i don't think i'll like it. I think they could have done much more with a crossover

IKR? As soon as the DS came out, it turned to crap. up and until Pokemon Emerald it was fun.

Yeah, I agree. Especially anime-wise, the anime went bad really quick.
I loved the older games. PKMN Diamond and Pearl sucked so badly, but Black & White was surprisingly good IMO. I think Gen 5 was a good comback for Pokemon, but Gen 4 was absolutely terrible.

Sorry to double post. I'm briefly on my laptop although I shouldn't be and thought I'd post some pics of this game, which is what I wanted to do originally but couldn't.


As you can see, there are a lot of legendary Pokemon. Mewtwo, Articuno, Zekrom and Groudon. The characters look really quite anime-ish.
