Vitani grinned at Kopa, flush with her success. "We'll see about that," she teased. About to let Kopa go so that she can chase him again, Vitani hesitated when Kopa spoke again. "Wandering what?" She asked, noticing later that Zazu landed right next to them.

Nala shrugged a little. "I also trust Rafiki, but I am not so sure about it not mattering much," she said, "but on the other hand, I wasn't the one who got hit over the head by his stick, so maybe you know something about the monkey that I don't."

Kopa shook his head, "Nothing Vitani..." Suddenly the annoying bird said, "You know you two are going to be betrothed just like Kopa's father and mother..." Kopa said, "Yeah eww...do you ever stop talking banana beak?" Zazu said, "I am the royal messenger and you will refer to me as..." Kopa mocked him by using his mouth as he was talking.

Simba smiled, "Well trust me Rafiki did not transfer any of his knowledge to me when he knocked me over the head with his stick. I didn't get an epiphany."

Vitani jumped off Kopa when Zazu made the announcement. "We're what?" She blurted out. "No, we can't do that! Kopa and I are friends... Do you know what that means? We... can't! No! It'll be so weird." Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Kopa mimic Zazu and grinned at him.

Nala laughed out loud at Simba's comment. "Yeah? Well it certainly looked like it. One moment you storm away from me, determined to stay in that jungle, and when I try and find you, Rafiki pops up to inform me that you were already running back." She grinned slyly at Simba. "I say it was an epiphany"

Zazu did a laugh, "You know you two remind me of Simba and Nala, they said the same thing...Why just a few years ago..." Kopa sighed, "Ugh another story! Do you ever stop talking!" Kopa actually liked stories but he was trying to impress his friend Vitani. Zazu said, "Oh but Kopa I thought you liked stories." Kopa held back a blush, "Well...not today bird-brain!" He then used his paw to push him off of his perch and on the ground. Zazu said, "You cannot touch the royal messenger!" Kopa laughed and said, "Watch me banana beak."

Simba again smiled, "No I got that epiphany from the stick...I knew it all along of course I just needed some sense knocked into me that I had a responsibility here. But no I didn't get any special knowledge from the Kings of the Past like Rafiki does all of the time."

Vitani shuddered at the thought of Kopa's parents starting out like her and Kopa only to end up agreeing to the whole betrothal thing. "Yeah, well when Kopa becomes king, I will get him to make that be the first thing to go," she told the majordomo bird.

Nala smiled. "Well, no matter what convinced you to return, I'm glad you did. But if you had the knowledge all along, do you think you have it now?"

Zazu smiled when Vitani said that, "Simba and Nala also said that when they were cubs..." Suddenly Kopa grabbed him and threw him over to Vitani, "Hey Vitani catch ol' banana beak!" Kopa said laughing. "AH!" Zazu screamed. Suddenly Kopa saw Frank, "Hey Frank tell the bird that he has to listen to me since I'm the future king!"

Simba said, "Well anyway I think if it is anything important Rafiki will share any info about Frank with us."

Vitani caught Zazu, and was about to toss the bird back to Kopa when she saw Frank. She hastily dropped the bird, and Zazu shuffled away, shaking his wings.

Frank frowned when he was walking around and stumbled upon Kopa throwing Zazu to Vitani. For all the commotion he heard of humans treating animals badly, he didn't know anyone who threw birds around like baseballs. But he kept his thoughts to himself in those regards. "Well, I don't know, Kopa," he replied, "I don't know how things are run here yet, so I can't tell you one way or the other."

Nala nodded. "I don't think Rafiki will withhold anything important," she said after a while, "so if he doesn't say anything, I guess that we don't need to know it. Or he wants us to discover it ourselves."

Kopa noticed Frank frowning at him, "Oh come on Frank. We weren't trying to hurt Zazu! We were just messing with him!" Zazu went over to Frank and said, "Oh thank you for trying to protect me from these children! King Simba tells me I must follow these cubs but he gives me an impossible job since they do not listen and they just make fun of me!" Kopa said, "Oh Frank Zazu's overreacting."

Simba nodded, "Well little matter now. I sent Zazu to look after Kopa. Hopefully Kopa isn't giving poor Zazu any trouble, at least not the kind of trouble we gave poor Zazu," he said with a laugh.

Frank didn't know whether to believe Kopa or Zazu. He did see Kopa throw the bird around, but not what happened before that. So he simply shrugged and said, "I'll keep an eye out and make up my own mind."

By now Vitani knew that Zazu was no longer easy to pick on, not with Frank around, so she nudged Kopa. "Come on, let's get out of here while Zazu's busy!"

Nala also laughed. "Knowing Kopa and us, I would say that Zazu is on his way to an early retirement," she said, "But I think we were harsher on him than Kopa is."

Kopa nodded at her and quietly backed away before trying to run off. Zazu noticed however and said to Frank, "Quick help me stop these children from getting away or Simba will kill me!" Kopa however nudged Vitani to run faster hoping that maybe they could even give Frank the slip.

Simba nodded with a smile, "Yeah I don't think anything could be worse than that rhino sitting on top of Zazu after we gave him the slip." He then said, "I kinda miss those days actually."
