"I don't know what's happening to me," Delano whispered, "I sometimes start to think that I really did do it..." he admitted. "When I try to sleep, I start seeing things... I... I see everyone glaring at me. Umeme, Lina, Kasi, even you..." He hesitated, afraid to admit of what he was about to say next, "I even see mom and dad... And all of you are glaring at me... angry. Asking why I did it..." Delano unintentionally gripped Muroki harder in his stress. "And I never have an answer... All I can do is stare back..." He shivered despite the warm air in the cave. "I don't even know what I did... but they just keep asking me why I did it... I'm afraid of doing anything, Muroki. I just wish that it could all end..."

Muroki was simply horrified as Delano described his dreams to him. "You didn't do anything." he said, holding her brother close. There was no doubt that the darkness and loneliness was starting to get to him. It was probably why this specific area was the prison area, so to make prisoners go mad and admit what they did or didn't do, thus giving the police an easier time. "You have to remember that you didn't do anything. This will all end, I promise. And then we'll be able to move on and leave this horrible experience behind."

Delano tried to feel better from Muroki's words, but they had lost their power to help him. And as he sat leaning on Muroki, a sudden thought came to him that made him recoil in fear. "But I can't see you..." he said, "how do I know you're not mad at me? How do I know you're not simply saying that to-" he started to back away slowly as his mind tried to combine the real and fake. "They let you in here to talk to me..." Delano muttered, his voice getting low in anger and fear, "You- You're working for them!" He screamed suddenly. "They want you to trick me! I... I did do it, didn't I?" A wall blocked Delano from moving further back, and he lay down, trying to hide. "I really did it..."

No longer able to remember that he was innocent, Delano cried out in anguish as he realized that he would be killed for his crimes. "I- I'm sorry! I didn't mean to..." His voice died down and he fell silent.

Muroki's jaw eventually dropped from what Delano was saying to him. No wonder that he has never heard of any one arrested making it out of that place without being convicted, that is if the punishment for what he did was not death, because it's only been a day and Delano was already driven into madness and was thinking that he really did it. "Get a hold of yourself!" the guards have probably heard him, but since they didn't do anything they were probably used to having innocent lions go insane.

Anyone who had seen Delano yesterday and would see him now would realize that he was innocent, and Muroki had no doubt that the guards also knew that, yet it angered him that they didn't do anything but simply stand outside and keep watch. "I am not working for those ungrateful lions, I am not mad at you and you did not do it!" what if one of the lions in charge would come and see Delano confessing what he didn't do like this? They might execute him on the spot.

Delano cowered even more from Muroki's sharp tone, preparing himself for an attack. But when it never came, he slowly removed a paw from his head, ready to cover his head again should a blow come. "But if I didn't do it..." he whispered, feeling confused and dazed. "I- I don't know what's real anymore..." He lay his head on the cave floor, wanting to melt into it.

Normally, he would have moved closer to Muroki, but his brother's outburst left him afraid. Delano wanted desperately to believe his brother, but found himself unable to fully trust Muroki, not after the outburst.

Muroki was unable to see his brother and therefore did not know that his so called attempt to convince his brother that he was innocent has actually done nothing but get Delano in a worse mood. "You didn't do it, we all know you didn't." he said, his voice normal now. Not caring his brother would react, he went over to him and hugged him again. "You just have to remember that you didn't do it, no matter what you hear or do the lions here tell you."

At first, Delano shied away from Muroki's tough, fearing some sort of attack, but when he felt that his brother was simply trying to comfort him, he slowly relaxed again. "But they don't tell me anything," he said, "no one tells me anything... It's just me and... no one else..." He started crying again, unable to control his emotions. "I'm alone in this darkness... for... I can't even tell what part of the day it is..."

Delano turned himself so that he could fir into Muroki's embrace better. "And if I didn't do it.... why am I locked up in here? Why can't I leave..." His shallow breathing was causing his body to shake a lot now. "I can't take it anymore... I can't stay here... I'm afraid of being left alone again..."

Muroki sighed as Delano again asked what part of the day it was. "Morning." he was about to answer his brother's second question, only that he didn't know the answer. Why was he locked up in here really? "I don't know..." he said, sighing. "Maybe they made some mistake, I have no idea..." it never occurred to him that this might be the work of another lion and that his brother was framed. But there had to be a way to get Delano out, he remembered his parents telling them that nothing's impossible.

Delano rested his head against Muroki's, listening to his brother while trying to calm himself down. "When they took me in, they sounded so certain..." he said hesitantly, "how can they make a mistake and be so certain?" He felt his fear flare up again, and clenched onto his brother. "I don't know... I don't know what to do."

He fell quiet again, seeking comfort from the contact with his brother, the feeling that someone was caring for him and did not want to kill him. "How is Lina?" He asked suddenly. It scared him somewhat that it was a long time since he last though of her. "Is she doing alright?"

Muroki sighed, "I don't know." it really didn't make sense for the police to make such a mistake yet seem so certain with what they were doing. It also didn't make sense that Delano rally did it, so it looked like they were stuck. "Lina's worried sick." he admitted, knowing that there was no point in hiding the truth from him. "She herself is fine, but she's worried about your well being..." Muroki knew that Lina would be absolutely devastated if the police ended up executing his brother.
