Simba sighed. "Well, Scar took me to the gorge and told me that my father had a surprise for me. Soon after, the stampede began. I ran for my life and my father showed up. He got ahold of me and got me to safety. Not long after that, I saw him fall into the stampede and didn't see him again until I found him again. I don't know if it was the fall or the wildebeests that killed him," he said.

[Queen Elsa]

Nala and Sarafina looked at him. "What happened to you on Pride Rock the day you came back - do you think that's what happened to Mufasa before he died?" Nala asked.

Simba looked at them. "What do you mean?" he asked.

[Queen Elsa]

"When you came back to the Pridelands, when you were accused of being a murderer, you nearly fell off Pride Rock into the fire below. Scar then put his paws and you and whispered something into your ear." Nala explained. "Do you think that's how Mufasa died, but with a stampede under him instead?"

Simba's eyes went wide. "I don't know. I only saw him fall and disappear into the stampede. The only one who would know were my father and Scar, and they're both dead," he said.

[Queen Elsa]

"But I was close enough to hear Scar say that that's just the way Mufasa looked before he died." Nala pointed out. "But I guess it doesn't matter now. The past is the past, and we don't have to worry about it."

Simba looked ahead of him. "What matters is protecting our daughter from any danger that might strike. That's part of the reason I banished Zira and her followers after I came back: to protect any future cubs," he said.

[Queen Elsa]

Nala nodded, remembering the lions who were followers of Scar. She looked down at Kiara, who was still sleeping soundly. "Yes. I just hope we never have to face those lions any time soon."

Simba sighed. "You know, Nala, it was slightly difficult for me to banish Zira because, as Scar's mate, she was my aunt. However, I did what I had to do to protect you, Kiara and the pride," he told her.

[Queen Elsa]

Nala nuzzled up against him. "I know you did." She decided to change the subject. "Hey, where's Timon and Pumbaa? I haven't seen them since they fainted awhile ago."
"They fainted? Why?" Sarafina asked.
"Well, they thought Kiara was a boy, but when they found out she was a girl, they just fainted." Nala explained.
Sarafina chuckled. "Those two always make me laugh."
