^ They're spirit guides in some forms of Paganism, Animism and Shamanism, I think. They guide you in your life and help you if you follow them. It's just for fun for most of us, but it's fun to think about.

My first thought in seeing this thread name were the daemons in The Golden Compass. It's probably one of the coolest concepts I've ever seen in a book (unfortunately the books themselves are pretty poorly written, so I've never finished reading them). I remember taking a quiz back on Myspace (who remembers Myspace? XD) to see what I would have and I got a Lynx named Pelagia.

So whenever I think of what I might have if I had a "spirit animal", that'd probably be it. If not, then likely just a fox, as that's the animal who's symbolic meaning in various cultures fits me most.

I kind of want to get one of those stones off the animal power site but I am struggling to figure out my exact spirit animal. I wonder if there is a test somewhere to help determine what your animal might be.

I tried doing this again, in a room, on my own, and I got a white wolf playing with a black eagle? Dunno what to make of that but I'm guessing the wolf and the eagle are my Spirit Animals.
