Nello was starting to lose patience, "And I told you that I'm your mate!"

Nuru didn't even seem to notice the fact that he was raising his voice. She just shook her head silently.

Nello again pushed her down and said, "Look Nuru remember when we first met...I...uh I thought...you've always been the nicest doe to me."

Nuru got up once more, this time looking agitated for a change. "Please stop pushing me."

The other deer tried to help Nello out, "We're only pushing you so that you'll stay here and listen. Nello is your mate. That is Nello right in front of you."

Nuru stared at Nello for a moment and shook her head, "I... I'm leaving... You two are freaking me out."

Nello said, "You can't do that Nuru...you have fawns back there at the den..."

"No..." she said, shaking her head once more. "Let me through please."

Nello said, "No I won't. The fawns need their mother...Nuru please just give me a chance."
