Umeme blushed when Muroki licked her. She doubted that she actually missed anything, as she was good at cleaning herself, but just took the opportunity to lick her. And it was one that she didn't mind at all. "Thanks," she said, and in turn also give him a lick. "Well, now we need to drag this back."

Never having actually seen Muroki carry anything, she smiled smugly at him at the prospect of this task. "Lets see how the great and powerful Muroki handles a dead wildebeest," she teased, before picking up one end in her jaws.

Delano ignored the fact that he was next to Lina's parents as he swept her into a deep hug. After the events of yesterday, when he genuinely thought that his days with her were over, he now was really glad to be with her again, and din't care about who saw it or not.

Moto was about to ask Delano a question when the younger lion hugged Lina. Seeing that Delano was distracted, Moto instead leaned towards Fadhili, with a smile on his face. "you know, I think we're about to include Delano into our family as well," he said. He didn't say it too quietly, and both Delano and Lina were close enough to hear him, but he doubted they were paying enough attention to comprehend his statement.

Muroki smiled sheepishly when she licked him back and then went ahead so that he could help her with the carcass, coming to a stop at what she said next. "Is that a challenge?" he looked at her with just as sneaky a grin as her own. "I can so carry this." looked like he had some reputation to maintain there. He gently touched Umeme's muzzle once, telling her to let go of the dead wildebeest. "If I managed to- wait, after I carry this, what do I get?" he asked, not afraid to make a little bet.

Lina smiled, putting her arms around Delano as well, nuzzling him gently as she did. She and Delano didn't seem to notice what Moto said, they were too caught up in their moment in order to do so. Fadhili smiled at her mate, "That's great." she also leaned a little towards him, "So... What were you about to say earlier?" she asked, feeling her cheeks turn slightly red "You know, before Lina and Delano came out..."

Umeme gently let go of the wildebeest, letting Muroki take all the weight of the kill all by himself. "Well, if you manage to bring it back all by yourself..." She thought about what Muroki might want, "well, what do you want to get?" She asked, somewhat smugly. Umeme was so confident that Muroki would not be able to carry the kill back ally by himself that whatever he would choose, she would almost certainly agree to it.

Moto grinned at Fadhili. "Well, I never did come up with anything," he admitted, "but I was going to come up with what the tow of us can do together later today." He looked over at Delano and Lina. "But you know what? I don't think the kids will mind if we leave now," he told her, "if they will notice at all." He smiled and placed a paw on her shoulder. "So, what do you say about going on a little adventure?"

Muroki chuckled, "If you say? When I finish carrying this..." he paused, trying to think about what he could ask from Umeme. Maybe he could have her do something funny and embarrassing. "Then you'll have to admit how wrong you were by questioning my capabilities." he said, trying to use a snobbish tone as he said it, chuckling at the fake frown Umeme gave him. He could tell by her grin that there would also be a side of what happens if she won, "Alright, what do you want if I can't carry this? Just for the record" he said, his tone confident.

Fadhili looked over at Lina and Delano, "No, I doubt they will notice anything." she said, looking at him and giggling as he placed a paw on her shoulder, "I like the sound of that." she leaned over and licked her mate across his muzzle, "So where will we be going?" being the type of lioness she was, it was next to impossible to hide her enthusiasm, but she managed to avoid showing some part of it. Still, her mate knew he well enough to know just how excited she was.

Umeme grinned widely. "Done!" She said, in regard to Muroki's bet. "But if I win, then you will have to admit at how wrong you were in overestimating your abilities, and that you need me after all." She gave him a look that clearly meant that she wasn't going to lose, and was already imagining him admitting his defeat to her. She motioned at the kill. "So, ready to lose your bet?"

Moto got up, smiling. "Let's go on a walk," he answered, "a stroll around these lands. Get reacquainted with them, see how much they changed or stayed the same since we last have been here." He gave one last look at Delano and Lina, confirming that they won't mind them leaving now. "Yeah, Delano and Lina are set or now. Let's go."

With Fadhili by his side, the two of them waled into the grasslands, leaving Delano and Lina behind together.

Muroki laughed briefly, "Very well then." he only asked her about what would happen if she won so that he could tease her about how she did not get it once he won. Looking at her with a cocky grin the entire time, Muroki went over to whatever was left of the wildebeest and placed it on his back. It was a good thing that he made sure he stayed in shape after he was done with the police training and he doubted his legs weren't strong enough for him to carry this all the way back.

Fadhili smiled at the idea. "Alright, a walk it is." she doubted anything really has changed during the time they were gone, and was mostly looking forward to spending some time alone with her mate, even though they've spent the last few months traveling together. She got too her feet as well and followed her mate into the grasslands, smiling all the way.

Muroki began walking back to the den with the kill on his back, and Umeme walked next to him. She didn't allow him to see, but by the ease at which he carried the kill made her slightly uneasy. The closer they got to the den, the more worried she became that he will actually win the bet. She started to think of reasons on how to nullify the bet should he win.

Moto lead Fadhili away from the den, and when they walked quietly for a while he decided to ask her something. "So you know how Muroki and Umeme are already mates? How long do you think it will take for Delano to ask Lina?" He smiled slightly. "Because yesterday, Delano and Lina come back a mess. This morning they are so into each other, they don't even notice the world around them." He shrugged, "by the looks of it, they really love each other, but are not completely sure what to do yet." He then got an idea. "Should we suggest to them what to do? Guide them along?"

Muroki walked on and on with the kill on his back. He would have probably noticed Umeme's uneasiness if he would have bothered to look at her, but he was more focused about keeping an eye out for the den. Surely carrying the kill wasn't getting easier the longer it was on his back, but Muroki could still carry it with little difficulty. It wouldn't take long before he'd win the bet, a thought which caused him to grin.

Fadhili took the time they had, which seemed limitless, in order to look at the land around her. She was correct by expecting things to be the same, because nothing seemed different at all. "I don't think that will be necessary honey." she said confidently, "They love each other that much, I can tell." she thought about it for a moment and then looked at her mate with a grin, "If there's anyone we should be guiding, it's Muroki and Umeme." she said, wondering whether her mate got the message even though she knew that Umeme would be annoyed by something like that. "I mean, the asking part is already behind them."

Umeme saw that Muroki was slowing down, and grinned slightly. So she just might have a chance of winning after all. She walked a bit faster, forcing Muroki to walk faster than he would want to, and therefore get tired even quicker. "Come on, Muroki" she teased, "you're almost at the den. I would love to see you lose the bet, which you will if you don't get there." She wanted to get him to move even faster than now with his own will, and get too tired to continue and let her win the bet.

Moto laughed at Fadhili's comment. "Yeah, I guess you're right." He chuckled a bit more before turning more serious. "But I do hope that they take their time and not rush things." He nuzzled his mate. "Because I still remember how rough it got in the beginning. Umeme and Lina were really a handful."

While Muroki was indeed slowing down a little, it wasn't like he was on the verge of collapsing. He just figured that if he walked slower it might take longer but will end up requiring less effort. He chuckled, especially once he could see the den in the distance, "No no no no no. You're going to lose and you're going to like it." there wasn't really too much sense in what he just said, but it amused him to say the least. He did continue to walk faster like Umeme wanted, but whenever he felt like he was making a too big of an effort he would simply slow down.

Fadhili chuckled, "I guess you're right about that." she returned her mate's nuzzle, "Yeah, they were really a handful, but I don't have any regrets." not that her life was bad until now, but when her two daughters were born it was like having a new source of light. Sure, the two were a bit harder to take care of than both she and her mate expected, but it was worth it.
