Grace's worst nightmare had happened, tonight of all nights, she didn't want to face the abuse.
"P-Please Roark...I'm t-tired", she replied wearily, afraid of the lion's next reactions she knew would come.

Roark frowned and growled, "I couldn't care less." he walked even closer to her with a grin, "Besides, it's not like you have to do anything."

Gracie shuffled back a little, she wanted to be nowhere near this lion right now. She managed her own growl, but it was feeble,
"Roark, leave me alone". She would never win the fight to be able to spend one night in peace, she knew that and it stayed in the back of her mind.

Roark held back a fit of laughter, "No." while it didn't look like it because he was trying not to laugh, he was starting to lose his patience. "Don't make me do something you'll regret." he said, his voice a growl again as he continued to approach her.

Gracie considered something, if he did something which would cause her more pain than usual, she might make a noise that would wake up the cubs. She didn't want them to see her get hurt in the way she was going too. Reluctantly, she lay still, waiting for it to happen.

Roark grinned. Maybe those cubs would be of some use after all. After a while, it was over. "I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did." he said smugly, knowing that she didn't. He walked back to the other side of the den and lay down without saying a word.

Gracie endured the moments of which he did what he did. It hurt every time, physically and emotionally. She would of snarled at his comment, but she was too exhausted to even raise her head. Before she finally slept, she thought how she was stupid enough to start this relationship, but then again, she wouldn't have her cubs. If only it was a different male, she often thought. One who didn't abuse her.

[Okay ^-^ Start the day before then. Umm, early morning and Gracie has asked Roark to look after the cubs again. They get on his nerves this time as they are play fighting. They think Roark's asleep]

Roark let out an annoyed sigh as Gracie left, leaving him to look after the stupid cubs yet again. The two little fur balls were still asleep, so Roark decided to put his head down and go back to sleep. Hopefully for him and them he'll manage to do that before they woke up, and once he did they'd better keep their little mouths shut.
