Uzuri nodded and looked at Vitani. "By the way, when my sister and I say that you're the first one to get our names right on the first try, it's because it's an ongoing thing that we are called by each other's name," she said.

Vitani nodded. "I figured. I mean, you two do look a lot alike. The only way I can tell the difference is if I say your name first before I ask you questions or anything." They were still by the barren lands, and she was always watching her back. She then thought she heard something, and quickly jumped. She smelled the air and recognized the scent. It smelled like Damu!

Uzuri stood by Vitani's side. "What's wrong?" she asked.

Vitani didn't answer, but motioned for Uzuri to follow her behind the bush. As soon as they got there, she whispered to Uzuri, "I think Damu is nearby. I ran into him while looking for this place. He's very harsh and cruel. He even called me a scruffy excuse for a lioness." she explained. "If we be quiet, we shouldn't have a problem with him right now."

Uzuri headed into the hiding place. Form there, they saw Damu come out and sniff around. However, finding nothing, the lion left back into his own territory.

"Phew. That was a close one. Come on. Let's get out of here. I don't want to run into him or the hyenas." Vitani said, running out of the bush along the border.

Uzuri followed her. "Come on. We might be able to find a herd nearby. If not, we can wait for a cheetah to make a kill and then scare it off," she said.

Vitani followed Uzuri, trying to stay in step with her.

Uzuri looked ahead. "Look, there's some impala up ahead," she said.

Vitani crouched down and started to stalk. At the right moment, she jumped out and killed one.
