Sarabi sighed, at least this would give Kovu a chance. "Fine, but you'll have to tell him Mufasa, I'm not going to scare the poor dear with the thought of being Scar and zira's son." She said firmly. With that they returned to Simba's room. "Simba, you are going to enter the Royal treasure room and pick a gift for Nala." Sarabi said. "And Mufasa has something to tell you Kovu." Sarabi said as she elbowed her husband. "What is it, are guys gonna abopt me?" He asked, his green eyes full of hope.

Mufasa knelt down so that he was at Kovu's level. "Kovu, I have made a decision. You and Kiara will be coming along on the journey to Fayiz. If you prove yourself worthy by not stealing anything, I will adopt you as my second son," he said.

" And if I do steal something, then what?" He asked, almost afraid of the answer. Sarabi sighed as she looked away. It broke her heart to see Kovu's look go from hope to fear.

Mufasa decided not to mention Scar and Zira. "Then I will find a home for you among one of the royal officials. I promise that they will treat you well," he said.

Meanwhile, in Fayiz, Sultan Shujaa had grown frustrated with his daughter Nala's rejection of every single suitor that had come. He entered the palace garden and found her. He went up to her. She was absolutely gorgeous, with shining blue-green eyes and a lean, lithe figure. She was clad in a blue bedlah top and poofy blue bedlah pants. He looked her in the eyes. "Nala, you must stop rejecting every suitor that comes to call!" he said.

Sarabi glared at her husband. "Tell him who Mufasa." She said i a firm tone, hoping that Mufasa might change his mind and adopt Kovu right on the spot.

Meanwhile Mheetu was curled up next to Nala, tired after playing with her. " Come on Dad, all those suiters are jerks, Nala was too good for them." He said in his sister's defence.

Mufasa sighed. "I was thinking of my brother Scar and his wife Zira. I didn't want to tell you, but they at least have experience in parenthood. However, if you wish, I can look among them and let you choose," he said.

Shujaa looked down at his son and then back at Nala. "Nala, I have arranged a meeting with one more suitor. He is Prince Simba of Agrabah, the son of my old friend Mufasa. Hopefully, it will work out," he said.

Kovu glared at Mufasa. "Nuh ugh, no way, I'd sooner go back to being a street rat!" Kovu shouted as he ran out and to the room he and Kiara shared as he locked himself inside.

Sarabi glared at mufasa. " See, I knew this would happen." She said slapping Mufasa as she ran off to comfort Kovu.

Simba ran over and knocked on Kovu's door. "Kovu, it's me. Please open up. I'm sorry for what happened back there," he said, waiting for his friend.

" You can be such a jerk at times!" Kiara said to Mufasa before running after Simba and Sarabi.

" Kovu, Honey please let us in." Sarabi said as Kiara joined them. " Go away!" rang Kovu's Voice, his tone indicated his was crying. "Stand back." Kiara said as she picked the lock. "Got it." She smiled as the door opened and They entered. "Kovu, Listien to me." Sarabi said, sitting down next to Kovu and stroking him as if he was her child. "Mufasa hates me!" Kovu sobbed. " No He doesn't, he just wants what's best for you, we all do." Sarabi said soothingly as Kovu dried his eyes. " Then why would he even think of making me Scar and Zira's son?" He asked.

Just then, Mufasa entered. "Forgive me, Kovu. I am truly sorry. If something happens, you should be free to choose which family you want to be with. Go ahead and make that choice right now. Scar and Zira are out of the picture," he said.

Back in Fayiz, Shujaa looked at Nala. "Nala, I want you to give Prince Simba a chance," he stated.
