MegaUpload Shut down By The Feds

Well obviously it must still be alive to some extent. They might say it was a coincidence this happened the day after, but it seems to me that's just a way of covering it up.
It's searches sure as heck can lead to a lot of copyrighted information/illegal links. Ever tried searching something in google image without the safety feature on? It's not a pretty sight.
Remind me to tell you later about my "Simba and Nala" Google Images incident another time. :madman:
And the Sopa bill can shut down a site even for linking to a site with illegal content on it. So as far as me going overboard, not really. It's a pretty serious issue.
^ yup

And this is exactly why SOPA isn't necessary. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The fair use policy (or whatever it is called) still works. MegaUpload employees are going to be put on trial in a legal battle, just the way it should be.

Even before SOPA, we had and still do have provisions to prevent piracy. We simply need to enforce the laws we have.

Also, the owners/employees of MegaUpload won't necessarily be convicted of anything. They will be put on trial. Our current system is more than sufficient.

LOL

Jimmy Wales is right. You just can't mess with the internet.

It's kinda a dumb move though. It could only serve to strengthen the SOPA cause.
