Rare 1995 CYFTLT version!

Rare 1995 CYFTLT version!

Postby DGFone » January 15th, 2012, 8:03 am

I was surfing the web when I came across this: Bet you never heard this before!

From what I understand, it has only ever been released on the 1995 Disney Sing-Along Songs VHS. By the sound of it, it tries to mimic the style of "A whole New World" at the end of Aladdin, where two people not related to the movie sing the love song. But in this case, the song is Can You Feel The Love Tonight, using the lyrics of version 1 (Elton John's version). For the most part, the quality is excellent, except for a bit around the middle where you get some weird pounding. Still an excellent song.

I rather like this version. Maybe not as much as the others, but it's a real treat never the less! :lick2:

Quite a find Yoni! I like it, considering CYFTLT is my second-fav song..

We press play, don't press pause.
Progress, march on.
With the veil over our eyes,
we turn our back on the cause.
'Till the day that my uncles can be united by law,
when kids are walking 'round the hallway plagued by pain in their heart.
A world so hateful some would rather die than be who they are.
And a certificate on paper isn't gonna solve it all,
but it's a good place to start.

I have that song in Dutch!
It was indeed on the sing-along-songs VHS.
Unfortunately, my VHS has worn out right in the middle of the song :(

Interesting find, DGFone, I must say! I have never heard of this version before, and it's nice to hear a duet version of Elton John's pop version. However, I would like to know who were the lead vocalists of this version. But, I can't find any information on this version.
